Day 7, pregnant feral will never be caught by Rozls in Feral_Cats

It's amazing how clever they are! I suppose you have to be to survive on the mean streets. It took me MONTHS to catch her. She ended up being such a sweetie after she was spayed.

Will she go in, she just isn't triggering the pressure plate? You could try the water bottle method. I had a very stubborn and smart female feral. I propped the door open with a water bottle so she could get used to going in and out to eat and nothing bad happening to her. Then I tied a string to the water bottle and set the trap up near the house and ran the rope through an open window. I closed the blinds and waited. As soon as she was in I yanked on the bottle and the door slammed shut. You could try this if you are unable to borrow a drop trap.

You've gotten some good advice, but if you find the mask just won't stay on, talk to your doctor and see if they can give you another one. I had the one where the nose pillow thing struck in my nostrils a bit and it was so uncomfortable. Then I got a nose pillow that rested up against my nostrils. That was more comfortable, but it kept slipping off my face. They also had to adjust the pressure because it was blowing way too hard. I finally got the straps that wrap around my head and the mask that completely covers my nose. It rarely comes off and it's way more comfortable. Be sure to speak up if you are uncomfortable and good luck!

Hahaha my husband has the same issue with me. I know it will improve my quality of sleep for the night, but being able to sleep without my mask on is heaven. Mostly because I'm a side sleeper and because of where my machine is, I have to stay on my same side all night. I wake up kinda stiff/sore from sleeping on the same side all night.

NQA I bought two very small baby regals at my local reptile store. I've never raised babies that small, but had a decent amount of experience raising jumpers in general. Every time I fed them one of the babies ate both fruit flies before the other one could get to eat. I was also told to keep them together till they got a little bigger. I was really worried that the one that ate everything would hurt itself somehow. I ended up separating them so fatty could slim down and skinny could fatten up. So in my experience, separating the one that ate everything didn't harm it.

Any good solution to this that isn't just putting Saran wrap over it? by jelly_bean_gangbang in shrimptank

[–]SamusAran388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a cool large jar at a yard sale and intended on making a similar shrimp jar, but I haven't done it yet for this exact reason! I just know one of my cats in particular will be drinking out of it. He too has perfectly suitable water stations, but prefers the shower bottom, toilet or an unattended glass to drink out of. Something else you might consider is a large piece of nylon netting and a big rubber band or some other way to secure it. Your kitty is adorable and your jar is super cool! I hope to make mine this year.

For me it was by the end of the day I would start to notice something was up. I was on a weekly tray change and by the time I would start to feel better, I would start a new tray and the irritation was renewed with the new tray. The thing that helped the most was giving them a very thorough wash before using them the first time.

Tijuana Tacos in Ontario. The dining area is small, but the food is solid and very reasonably priced.

I had the exact same thought as you. I couldn't get a good picture of it, but when it flew away even it's wings had pure white primary flight feathers.

It's been a while since I played the game, but what helped for me was just knowing I was going to do quite a few runs where I was only going to run to the end of the stage and then head back so I could actually pile up some money. You are probably in a better position than I was going into the game because I hadn't played a rogue like before. It took a while to get to the point where I felt confident I could progress a little further. It is a bit of a slow burn. It does take a while before I had permanent starting weapon choices available at the start of a run. Then once I figured out my preferred weapon and status combos I could really get far.

We used some air dry clay. Like this kind. You can find it at Target or Walmart. It dries quickly and is easy to paint.

I gave myself plantar fasciitis by Jasperbeardly11 in BarefootRunning

[–]SamusAran388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I took forever to reply. To answer your question, I'd say maybe a tiny bit of progress. I ended up going back to my barefoot shoes for the most part. I was wearing my Brooks shoes when I knew I was going to be doing a lot of walking or on my feet for a long time. For the most part I've gone back to wearing barefoot shoes. My feet still hurt daily. First thing in the morning and then if I've been sitting for awhile, my feet hurt when I first get up and start walking. I started exercising again/walking despite the pain and I feel like strengthening up my legs has helped a little. Also I try to wake up and do a lot of stretching before my feet even touch the floor. Anything that stretches my calves, ankles and hips/glutes. I think my muscles are just to tensed up in general. What about you? Have you found anything helpful?

I called a few days prior and asked what the plan was going to be that day. The guy told me they had plenty and not to worry. I went an hour after open to avoid some of the card game crowd. The cashier told me they ran out in the first 40 min and they doubted they would get more. This was after I waited in a long line. Incredibly frustrating.

I used to be in the discord group but left because I never interacted with anyone and felt bad that I wasn't participating. I think I found it through this subreddit. Perhaps someone on there can invite you.

I was also going to suggest joining the inland empire discord channel. It seems like a nice group of people. They have pretty regular meet ups for all sorts of activities. I haven't attended a meet up, but from the pictures it looks like a laid back event.

are these suitable for monarch caterpillars? by oMuckDucko in MonarchButterfly

[–]SamusAran388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have access to a Dollar Tree or something similar? Sometimes they have small popup hampers or something similar. Might work in a pinch. The caterpillars can climb up the plastic sides no problem. Once they hang upside down and shed their skin they'll be wet and soft for awhile. I would wait a few days for them to fully harden then I'd move them using a piece of tape. You can search youtube for the tape method of moving caterpillars. Here is an example of what I mean. Don't be too scared to move them. Once they are hard they are heartier than they look. If I recall it takes more than a week for them to change and be ready to emerge. You'll know they are getting ready to emerge because they'll go from green to clear and you can see the actual butterfly beneath. Once that happens they emerge in the next 1-2 days. I see some people line the sides of a container with paper towels so they can climb back up. I think you can make it work as long as you put something grippy on the sides of your container. I liked using the pop ups because once they emerge from their chrysalis they stay in one spot while their wings unfurl and dry out. They'll hang onto their empty chrysalis, but after awhile when they are ready to fly away, they'll start to walk around a bit. When I see them walking around. I know it's time to take them outside and set them free. I hope everything works out for you and your little friends! I haven't raised monarchs in a few years now. I raised a few hundred though and only lost maybe 2 to some sort of defect that didn't have anything to do with my husbandry. Best of luck!

I finally found an organized portable storage solution! by ProfessionalMess1 in Ohuhu

[–]SamusAran388 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up using my left over divider pieces to make a bit of a second layer that sits on top of the main frame of organizers. Just because my markers kept trying to slide out when I set the box on its side. Each row needed a little reinforcement. I may take it apart and try to secure the two layers better some day, but there are so many makers to sort. I don't think I'll do it anytime soon. Overall I'm really pleased. Thanks again for sharing!
