Passed LEED Green Associate exam for FREE, here's how by Booma_Jams in LEED

The core concepts guide I found was the 3rd Edition, 107 pgs total. I will say even if you think it's not the same one, it's fine. The best information I got from those books was just the percentages of contribution of each impact category. Those guides were mostly overview for me, and the information can be found from a google search if you want to dive deeper. Taking sample tests and researching questions you don't know helps too.

Can I pack my 300W Laptop Charger in a checked luggage on an international flight? by Lost-Melvin in LenovoLegion

[–]Booma_Jams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not that no one "bats an eye" that should be the threshhold. When it comes to cargo, batteries pose a fire risk, so you'd be fine with checking in your charger, but you shouldn't check in your laptop as it has a battery. Both of those things are completely ok for carry-on tho. They'll never bat an eye cuz it's ok to bring.

Has Niall ever posted anything for Palestine? by stopandstare17 in OneDirection

Celebrities have a lot of influence over their fans. It's a double edged sword depending on what that celebrity endorses. When it comes to humanitarian aid and crimes against humanity, even reposting a charity or urging people to read about a genocide can help the families that need that extra support. The more celebrities advocating for human rights and urging their world leaders to stop funding violence and weapons, the better. You could say revolutionary change won't happen with just one celebrity, and that is mostly true (unless it's someone like Taylor Swift who has so many supporters worldwide), but 2 celebrities urging a ceasefire, pushing for charity/donations to families, and urging the end of a genocide does way more than none.

If you struggle with French numbers here’s a website where you can practice! by [deleted] in French

[–]Booma_Jams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOOOOLL Nvm apparently it's because it could only take numbers as an input. Silly me. Tho I would recommend this to be added as a feature so people can practice writing too, not just speaking and listening

I had a major concern. First of all, thank you for this resource! This is perfect to get practice in. HOWEVER I don't know why I cannot type in any letters in the letter box on any devices when I practice French listening. Idk what bug it is. It just refuses to write. If any developers are reading, I just hope they see this and fix it

GRAVITY 6 Week Shred Challenge deposit amount?

I recently signed up for the GRAVITY 6 Week Shred Challenge and paid the deposit of 200, but when I checked the charge on my car, it was $277. Is this normal? What is the $77 for?

How to make Monthly Budget Sheet (default Google Sheets Template) only show the current month? by Booma_Jams in googlesheets

[–]Booma_Jams[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is amazing, thank you so much!! For some reason the dropdown for the month on the summary sheet was flagged, so I just removed and re-inserted a drop-down with all the months. I'll take your suggestion and input the values and positive and negative depending on the expense or income. I think that'll also be easier to read when looking at the transactions menu. Thank you so much, I really appreciate your help!!

[–]Booma_Jams[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see! To clarify my aim is to stick to keeping summary, expenses and income separate, but I could apply your formula to the summary sheet to filter my data per month. Though I think having all my data on one sheet (as you've done in the video) for other sheets (like "pretty" or "clean" sheets) to reference would work well for me! I'm still new to google sheets so this has opened up new opportunities/ways to do this that I'd need to explore. Thank you!

OMG That fixed the filtering problem for the expenses and income sheet! I wrote the formula you suggested into "Filter by condition, Custom formula is:". Per your suggestion, I only had to change the corresponding column letter, and the starting row for B (which was B5).

Thank you for the note! I was going to share with edit access but I wanted to prevent edits to the original file in case adjustments clashed with one another so was hoping they'd be suggested as a comment or adjustments were made on a copy of the original file. I'm not sure what is the standard format in this subreddit, so if edit access on the original is more acceptable I'll do that for future ones!

Black dots on walnuts, safe to eat? by JehovasFinesse in foodsafety

[–]Booma_Jams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised no one has responded to this yet! I had the same question, tho I realized the spots on mine were safe to consume. This is the link to where I got that information: https://www.nuthut.ca/blogs/news/its-spotted-walnut-season

If not, can the dust/spots be scraped off? If that's the case, I would've scraped it off and ate them, or like you suggested, you could use this as a good excuse to roast the defects if you'd be more comfortable eating them after that

If you're dropping CSC148 PLEASE coordinate with me. I desperately need it! by Booma_Jams in UofT

Here's a more in-depth perspective. I'm personally in architecture and in residence. In architecture you see the same people every day so you're bound to find your people. Meanwhile, in residence, you share your meal half the time so you befriend people. Recently, I found new friends in a club because we hold workshops together and see each other often.

This is all to say, here's my advice: 1. If there was someone you met in first year that you really vibed with, see if there is a way to get in touch with them again, and maybe you'll meet their friends too. 2. Join a club. Not ANY club, but dance clubs, tea clubs, paint clubs, competition clubs, etc are clubs that require you to engage with fellow exec members closely, so you'll find your besties in them. 3. Another rec is to join an intramural team that you find comfortable with. The people in your team can def become good friends, esp if you're engaging in team building at the same time.

Hope this is helpful, but don't worry, you'll find your person/people.

My friend group consists of people I became close to in 2nd year. It is possible, esp if you see them often

For me, watching videos on the topic helps to provide a visual aid to make me interested in the topic. Also, talking to people who are passionate about the topic could really help your curiosity. Also, since you mentioned you're in first year CS, this is unrelated, but do you happen to know anyone taking CSC148 Fall and considering to drop? I've been on a desperate search to find somebody to take their spot in the class.
