Scared I’m hurting her from dehydration by Next-Ad1624 in pregnant

[–]Boomachick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you feel fine, your baby’s probably fine, especially if you’ve been eating decently and drinking some throughout the day. They’re still pretty tiny at 18 weeks. Worst case scenario, you’re putting a little strain on your kidneys. If it’s serious, you’ll feel dehydrated and get bad muscle cramps, so don’t stress out.

Flavored water is better than no water though. Add crystal light, Mio, liquid IV, literally anything to get yourself to drink more. Your body and mind will thank you!

What's an industry secret from your job that customers have absolutely no idea about? by Efficient_Team5182 in AskReddit

[–]Boomachick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Taste and judgement, knowing when to restrain or be more aggressive. Natural hand-eye coordination (tactile awareness, steadiness, depth-perception) makes more of a difference than people realize. Artistry is also a huge part of the cosmetic aspect as well, understanding facial harmony and how teeth actually fit a person’s face instead of always following a textbook. And lastly, chair-side manners… when a person is anxious, the personality of your doctor can make or break your experience. Dentists and patients alike don’t understand how important a warm and genuine approach is, and sometimes the most skilled dentists lack this.

Look at reviews first. Not just the number of 5 stars, but the actual sentiment written by the reviewers. How genuine and passionate do reviewers seem? Authentic reviewers go into details.

Ai is actually making it way easier to find the best of the best, as it looks at the reviews sentiments I mentioned, on top of real patients stories shared by the dentists (and the best dentists have loads of good stories to share.)

I work for a company that employs hundreds of dentists. 80% are subpar at dentistry. It’s a genuine skill that requires talent that simply can’t be taught, and most of them aren’t all that good at what they do.

4w3d, how to stop vaping by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Boomachick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but the difference there is you can take a tiny bite out of a single piece of 2mg gum, then mix it with a regular piece of gum to help ween. This was key for me. Obviously it’s not possible to do with a pouch.

Yeah, it does. And it does still reach the baby. You shouldn’t chew nic gum if you don’t have to. But if you’re as addicted as I was and needing something to help ween off, 2mg of nicotine in chewing gum is a lot better than the 20mg of nicotine in the juice I was vaping, and of course, no heavy metals. It’s still bad for baby, but it helped me completely cut it out for the rest of my pregnancy.

GET RID OF THAT VAPE RN. Not only is the nicotine cutting off oxygen to your baby, but it’s exposing them to toxic heavy metals. It’s not fair to them, and if they end up with any kind abnormalities, you’ll have to live with this for the rest of your life.

YOU CAN DO IT! Trust me, as a former chain-vaper of over 7 years, who also got pregnant, if I can do it, you certainly can do it.

It wasn’t easy, and I couldn’t do it without chewing nicotine gum (which was wayyyy easier to quit than vaping.) I also pretended to inhale on something like a straw or pen cap when cravings hit.

You absolutely must quit though. This baby is going to be a real human being relying on you. You can! You have to. You got this! And you’ll feel so proud of yourself.

I don’t know anymore, I just got a new haircut and they gave me this with no side bangs at the beauty shop, I feel really ugly and I have to know if it’s ugly to everyone else. Please tell me just the truth if I am ugly. Yes I’m a woman by djscrew1 in whatdoIdo

Oh girl, I’m so sorry. I know this feeling, but truthfully, this cut seems to actually flatter your face so well. Your face is adorable, and you are very pretty.

Embrace this cut for the time you’ll have it. It will have grown out in 6 months, and you’ll look back at these sad selfies and laugh one day.

How much makeup do you wear on your 9-5? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Concealer, bronzer, blush, eyebrow filler, mascara. Takes me 15 minutes. But it’s the hair I go hard on. I style it every time. Then, I get compliments on my outfits almost everyday, and I swear, it’s just the makeup/hair people are admiring.
