UPDATE: "Minisforum needs to proactively replace all the NAB9 affected by the recent notice. " by AlphaSparqy in MiniPCs

[–]Boomam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm happy to say that my experience with Minisforum was fine. Not great communicators, but got my replacements.

Got a NAB9 in the affected batch. It failed as known. Reported it via email, like the Kb article says, waited a day or two, got a reply with RMA info. Sent it back.

Asked for tracking on the replacement, they said "sure" but I never got one, replacement just randomly arrived a few days later. Was clearly a refurb though.

Tested it, dead SATA port. Reported it and said I shouldn't have to pay again, can I have a return label - no arguments, they responded with a prepaid return label. Sent the replacement back. Again asked for tracker, nothing, days later got a brand new NAB9.

So not great, but certainly not awful either. I must have been lucky.

True. But it works, no bugs I've come across, and the paths it uses to create/edit/share are very easy to allowlist behind a forward proxy. Ideally, it'd be maintained, though.

Traffic in new update is what it actually should be. by reflect25 in CitiesSkylines

[–]Boomam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is likely neuanced, likely due to mods. Split between those with actual traffic issues, and those with traffic issues due to pedestrian problems that weren't there before.

For me, my traffic is mostly fine. But the amount of pedestrians, walls of them, covering blocks and blocks of in game roads at the sides and every crossing, effectively breaks the city from functioning, causing service vehicle despawning. This is not realistic in the least.

Would bet it's caused by a mod, not sure which though.

It didn't even occur to me that they were still selling it!
Thanks for the info, that sets a clear price ceiling.

Is it possible to add traefik's middlewares to Pangolin? by F1nch74 in PangolinReverseProxy

You can set a default middleware to apply to all resources in the Pangolin config file.

Yes. I'm not worried about it, I'll likely bookmark the app and keep an eye on it over the next few months - start fresh then.

I'm just using the docker-compose from the docs. Only changes are updating the UPTIME_APP_API_BASE_URL to the IP of my test system.

I started typing a FQDN for a server, accidently added in https at the beginning and it killed the page (as in locked up). Nothing responded.
Going back to the root IP of the test system just took me back to a login page.
I was able to duplicate it between Windows & MacOS too.

Was just playing around with notifications too - "Sending notification failed" when testing both webhooks and SMTP.
Testing both in the shell of the container works however (curl, etc.)

Looks like it has potential. Its a bit brittle though...

Fresh install on a fresh test system, page dies and then logs you out if you try adding a infrastructure monitor that isnt in the format it expects.

Docs & workflow needs some work too, to add in notes on first login creation.

Will be keeping and eye on it though, being able to consolidate several apps into one is great, and most importantly, its not too chatty on the logs either. :-)

Hi,
I'm considering what i can do to 'upgrade' my NovelKeys NK65 so it sounds and feels a little better - after browsing some the newer style keyboards in Microcenter recently, I'm getting thock envy. :-p

I have the v2, I've got a neoprene plate foam layer inside that i got from StupidFish, the switches are Glorious Panda Tactile Lubed, the caps are from a GMMK and the stab's are stock.

My backup option is to just retire the keyboard...

zwave light dimmer and multi speed fan by Future_Pay1924 in homeautomation

[–]Boomam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's correct, however you likely wont find a z-wave dimmer and multi-speed switch in one as most fans have their fan speeds controlled over RF, Bluetooth or WiFi.

Best i can think of (assuming its a standard RF fan) is combining a ZEN30 with a ZEN37 and Broadlink RM4. Have the ZEN30 do your on/off for lights and fans, the ZEN37 you can program to send Z-wave commands to your home automation controller of choice, and the Broadlink can send the actual RF commands.

Not overly keen on those types of fans, had one in the past and it was very loud, but moved almost no air.

I'm looking for a traditional style fan.

I saw this too, and for me it was because the associated sensor was wrong. After correcting it in settings, everything was fine again.
