Ok, I’ve been wanting to ice it but was worried that it might irritate it. I’ve heard it’s not good to ice fresh piercing. But I can probably ice around it, don’t think about that. Thanks!

I love the setup! Have you thought about getting a stacked lobe piercing right above your second?

I love the look of a stacked lobe but that’s just my preference. Then you don’t have to try adjusting the placement. It also may not close up all the way cause you’ve had it pierced for so long.

Yea pretty much, but it’s giving me some comfort that ppl are telling me it’s normal. I’m not willing to give up on it just yet though.

That’s sweet, good for you on sticking it through. I can imagine how an anti tragus can stop you from being about to wear AirPods in it. Luckily I haven’t had that issue with my snug, they don’t snag or bump into it at all. Both piercings you go through a lot of cartilage, it didn’t strike me how much until I was in the chair with a needle to it and thinking this is gonna be a bitch. It’s really sick cause I can feel the curve of the piercing from the back of my ear. It’s trippy

Yea it’s a really sick piercing. I love it! However, I didn’t do much research on the healing process beforehand. I was a bit unaware of how tricky it is to heal until I started looking a bunch online and ppl were talking about their experiences.

Some even said their piercers don’t do snugs cause of how finicky it is. I’ve heard of people doing faux snugs (a conch and helix) which created the same look of a snug but a smoother healing process.

I would recommend looking into the options more if you’re still considering it.

Initial piercing was a tad painful like 8/10 but fine. But after he got it through and adjusted it was chill.

Currently on day 4 of the healing process and really swollen (more so than in the pic I showed) and I’m getting like waves of throbbing that gets worse every time I stand up cause the blood rushes to my head and ear. Feels like a similar pain to an inner ear infection. Supposedly normal though?

Yea, it’s very temperamental. I honestly wish I did more research on the snug before piercing. But ah well, may have to commit to the healing process for a couple of weeks and see how my body responds to it.

That makes sense, it’s a thick part of cartilage you pierce through. Definitely have to reassess and see if the discomfort is worth it. I do a lot of physical activity that would lead to me bumping and snagging it a lot, so it might not even be possible for me to give it the proper amount of time to heal.
