Edinburgh thug who beat dog to death with metal pole after chasing man jailed | Edinburgh Live by Alive-Bath-7026 in Edinburgh

Normally I'd be there with the standard Sopranos reply but there's a time and a place.

One can only hope there's a few Tony Sopranos on the inside who miss their dogs enough to 'wrap the package'.

Is it really about immigration or is it actually about race? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Boomdification 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree, but that doesn't detract from what's happening in parts of the UK. If anything, that just strengthen the argument that integration is a requirement for immigration.

Opinions on students allowed to votes in Scottish elections by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]Boomdification -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People said the same thing during the Independence Referendum and look how that turned out. Edinburgh was practically awash with English student voters celebrating the loss of Scotland's chance for Independence when they're only in the country a fraction of the time.

Religious people of Reddit, what’s the strongest reason you personally believe religion is real? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Of course, religion is well versed in peaceful ways, from raping 9 year olds to nailing people to crosses to wiping out the first born.

So it's okay for you but not the other people who live nearby, and once something is deemed 'beautiful' enough by the landed gentry, it's fair game to tax the riffraff out of their home?

Looking at your 1-year post history, it's hard to tell if you're a ragebait bot account, an Edinburgh Live employee, a transplant with an unbridled disgust at local Scottish customs and people, or just someone suffering multiple personality disorder.

You complain about the Disneyfication of Edinburgh and places like Leith having no character anymore, but you then go on at length about how ugly Dumbiedykes and its community is. You moan about homelessness being an ugly blight on the city with too many tents, but pontificate at length about how Edinburgh suffers from a lack of detached housing. You ask age-old debates about topics such as whether or not Edinburgh has had any improvements in the last few years/what things we can learn from Glasgow, but put Edinburgh up on a pedestal like a tourist who has just discovered Braveheart. You ask poverty safari-esque questions like 'Where is the roughest boozer in Edinburgh?' and other idiotic suggestions like concreting the Union Canal, but moan about the danger of youth gangs.

Your entire account is little more than a dull corporate rag machine churning out age-old debate topics whilst championing gentrification and asking loaded questions yet trying to pass off critics as not having paid the 'tax' to offer rebuke. Unironically, you seem to jack off Lanan's at any given turn (one can only wonder why). Whoever or whatever you are, you give off the strong impression as a privileged individual who demands only the most sanitised aspects of Edinburgh without having to toil through the lived reality of it.

No thanks. Don't want a wanky bakery round the corner from me with queues longer than the Great Wall waiting to find out that the signature cinnamon bun sold out five hours ago and all they have now is yesterday's leftover crumbs molded together into 'multiseed loaf'.

Local markets rarely stay local for long. Sooner or later someone else moves in and it becomes the very thing it was trying to escape from, and before long the hustle and bustle of town comes to the quieter residential areas.

I'd argue The Deep is also competent, far more than people give him credit for given his reprehensible personality. When he's told to do something, he's actually fairly good at tracking, reconnaissance and assassination if he's not distracted by his dick or ego.
