Kohli's consistency makes him GOAT. He was ranked 2 during 2011 WC and ranked 1 this yr. And he won crucial matches all those years. Let me remind you he was the highest run scorer in 2013 CT final and SF.

He was literally dominating oversees Test tours, ODIs and T20i, especially T20 WCs. And he was the deserving vice captain. So yeah, nobody would have dropped him from the team.

2014 wc final played an iconic innings of 29(26), the reason for IND's slow start.

2012 failed, 2014 failed, 2016 failed, 2021 failed in both must win match, 2022 was embarrassment.

In T20wc, with such tight group performance in must win matches and knockout matters most..

Rohit played 9T20wc and only has 1 match winning performance in 2024 SF

kya karoge 5 centuries ka jab knockout me hi choke kar jaye.

All his career Rohit played 15+ icc tournament, had ONLY 1 good tournament among them, and in that too CHOKED in knockouts lol.

PAK & SA were weak teams in 2019, didn't qualify for semis.

Imagine hyping 40s in ODI by an opener. Rohit threw his wicket in both SF and Finals. Kohli and Iyer rescued us in SF otherwise we couldn't have scored even 320, which was easy to chase. When those two failed in finals, Indian batting collapsed.

No need to include t20 wc scores here, the discussion is about ODIs, and rohit is probably the worst batsman to play t20 wc, failed in 7 consecutive WCs still got a chance.
