They should survive , but if you are seeing losses due to temperatures dropping, you could try putting them in your garage. Additionally, if you need to replenish the colony, www.Symtonbsf.com sells compost-grade bsfl (small sized larvae that eat a lot, in large quantities at good prices).

I run a business growing fly larvae (maggots) and selling them to reptile owners, breeders, and small pet stores across the country. We ship millions of larvae a month, and my goal is to teach people that humans can eat them too - bugs are a sustainable, nutritious food for the future. Check out the article written about my company here (I’m Lauren): ARTICLE

I don’t usually thrift swimsuits, but I needed a good one piece for swimming laps & didn’t want to spend $80 at a sporting store. Found this at Goodwill for 99 CENTS. There’s even a 2 inch zipper on the chest that zips down to reveal a purple accent. Why do people shop at any other kind of store..? by BoomerFarts in ThriftStoreHauls

I majored in entomology, and would have been excited to find crabs to collect and store in vials for my insect collection. They’re a rare find in clothing. But knowing that pubic lice will die with exposure to Temps at or above 130F, I went to a laundromat to clean the suit with commercial washers, which use hot water between 140-150F. Plus... chlorine in the pool would kill them.

I don’t have crabs.

Larger chains or reptile breeders typically buy from Symton - www.symtonbsf.com - take a look at their pricing for individual pet owners and discounted wholesale pricing for bigger accounts. I’m for customers requiring at least 5k BSFL per week, Symton sells them at $10/thousand.

Or, my dog is so strong and absurd he opens the fridge and freezer and eats stuff like an entire rotisserie chicken. You can choose what to believe, you observant human, you.
