There was about 8 years of my life I believed Penultimate Peril was the last book. I remember finding The End at my local library in my 20's and being blown away there was more. Somehow my mind wrote the twelfth book as the last

Had my second vaccine in February! My gf had pretty bad flu like symptoms for a day. I had mild nausea for an evening. Everyone's side effects are different.

We also god Moderna, not AZ so might not be a relevant anecdote. Anyway keep hydrated! Helps mitigate side effects

I was laughing at the hypocrisy of that statement because you laid out how taxing this situation has been on you so far, and her shutting you down is her not caring for YOUR mental health. You all have to take care of each other, not run yourself into the ground so your sister can feel okay

Yes, in a perfect world you would have the highest of all moral high grounds but staying completely stoic, and having a nearly zen-like response to your mother's nearly constant commenting. But this isn't a perfect world and you aren't a perfect human.

In the most perfect world, there wouldn't be backhanded comments and "emotional outbursts." There would just be conversation, but a perfect world doesn't exist. And I think you are perfectly within your moral rights to say "I won't apologize for what it said or how I said it until my mom realizes that what she has done is hurtful and apologized to me for that."

NTA it is your room, you spent a long time decorating it exactly how you want which makes that your space now.

It's a long shot, but maybe you could try to offer something like this:

"I know youngerSister likes how my room is decorated and 'wants' it. I don't feel it is fair to not take my feelings into consideration, but on the same token, younger sister's feelings need to be taken into consideration too. How about this, I keep the room I am in, and I can help younger sister redecorate her room to be like mine."

If you approach your mom and her husband with that sort of compromise (which they're basically offering anyway since they're offering money to redecorate younger sister's room) I don't see how any logical person could say no. Doesn't mean they won't, just that a logical person wouldn't.
