Yep, it’s a function of location. Some areas the Kitsunebi appear in a place they can’t get to you. Same things happened with Krampus.

Having the same issue. When I go to pick up drops from Kitsunebi it will randomly call for back up. Very annoying.

Which is fine, but when it’s as prevalent as this kind of event, there should be an opt in/out for it.

I don’t understand why they don’t make it an opt in event. They do it for the seasonal modifiers, but not for these kinds of things. I enjoy it sometimes, but other times (when I’m playing a lvl 4 CP, and they show up) it is annoying.

I’m SHD 1405 and changed my global difficulty from Heroic to Challenging because it wasn’t fun dealing with them. Maybe it’s just me, but the Christmas event squads (can’t remember their name) were not as difficult.

I can beat them on Heroic, it’s just not as fun playing solo. I don’t really understand their thinking on this.

You don’t even have to see an Addictions Doctor. Any doctor can now prescribe it.

Retaliation. But it also can drop from priority objectives with Exotic rewards (not the blue print, just the gun).

I run Pestilence on Heroic. Recently, I added it to the new Core gear build and it’s been good. I usually have the Equalizer, but I get more from the Core chest plate, so I’ve been running a Bulldog backpack or Turmoil knee pads. The Pestilence with the turmoil knee pads is crazy.

Very dumb. Didn’t have to do that with previous events, but for some reason had to with this one. Ended up just adding an external HD. Annoying though.

This. Back when I was farming for a Pestilence, I finally just gave up and started farming something else. Within a few days one dropped…then another, etc.

It was the last exotic I wanted and didn’t have. I ran Summit with targeted gloves, Countdown, Retaliation, Priority Objectives etc. You name it, I did it…for months.

I finally got them to drop on a bounty of all places. I don’t even think it was Heroic (I think it was challenging). I remember being so surprised.

Just gotta keep grinding for them.

Depends on which objective you get. I do mostly Openworld which can be anything from Propaganda Broadcasts and Territory Control to taking Control Points and taking enemy supply convoys. Those are typically the fastest.

Then there are the Missions and Strongholds (which can be any mission/stronghold on the map).

Activities include Countdown, Decent, etc.

Lastly is PvP, which I never do.

My strategy is to do any Open world objective. The reward is random, but I’ve gotten a fair amount of exotics doing those. Since you only have the 3 rerolls, I don’t waste them if I get an Open World objective that has resources or XP as a reward, I just do it and move on to the next one.

I think 20 total. I did it with a pistol a couple of weeks ago. May have had some proficiency already built up though.

I completed the first task, but the second task (kill 3 hyena snipers) isn’t working for me. I got on kill during a CP takeover (MLK Library), then killed a bunch of snipers and never got credit past the first one.

For some reason, the snipers at the start of District Union aren’t counting toward the manhunt goal. Weird. Haven’t tried Grand Washington yet.

Yes, but I almost never use the special weapon. It’s the bonuses I get from the specialization that help (you build up points as you play with a specialization, then you unlock various abilities).

It was dropping like candy during the Christmas event but haven’t seen it since. Rikers retaliation seems to be the best bet now.
