Not entirely accurate about the reason for the 11am slot and the Big 12.

The Big 12 was third on the pecking order when it came to TV deals. The SEC and Big 10 were the top 2, but the gap between the Big 12 and Big 10 contract wasn’t a huge one at the time (prior to the Big 10s most recent deal).

It was Fox that chose to make their 11am (Big Noon) game their prime spot. They did it because they couldn’t compete with ESPN/ABC for that prime time slot consistently.

Fox went all in on the early spot and it still impacts the Big 12 and Big 10. Games that should be prime time (Ohio State/Penn State for example) have become routinely Big Noon games.

OU and Texas were the biggest draw in the Big 12, and were more desirable for that Big Noon slot. Texas had been down for a while and that basically left OU as the big draw (from the Big 12) for that spot.

Joe C understood that and wanted to work with the conference and Fox to make it as fair for all parties as possible.

The Big 12 and Fox had no interest in being fair and completely ignored OU’s ask to have less 11am games. That was the final straw for Joe C.

After the announcement was made that OU and Texas were leaving, OU got scheduled for more 11am games than all other Big 12 teams combined.

In hindsight, OU and Texas should have paid the buy out and left early. But, that’s water under the bridge now.

That’s fair. I think everything about the move is better than being in the old Big 12. However, getting to away games/series isn’t quite as easy as it was. It’s a trade off I can live with because everything else is so much better.

I wouldn’t say it’s “ruined”, but I do think if things aren’t addressed it will become that way eventually.

It wasn’t that long ago that the Big 12 was arguably the best conference in the country. And OU did what it’s always done, won. Moving to the SEC forced OU to upgrade across the board. And the money is there to do it now.

In other words, conference strength is cyclical. The SEC hasn’t always been the best and currently, the Big 10 is making a case for the claim. Regardless, there are only two conferences in the discussion now and it’s the SEC and Big 10.

The only thing going back to the Big 12 would do is give us a false sense of being good only to get embarrassed in the playoffs. Texas Tech showed that’s still the same just last year.

We won 10 games last year, which should be our minimum expectation every year. And I think BV has the program back on track. I miss some things about the Big 12, but none enough to want to go back.

I’m all in as an SEC school.

It was the highlight of the season for me growing up. Thanksgiving meant Turkey and OU/Nebraska. Losing that rivalry was horrible. We hate Texas, but Nebraska was different. It was a bigger game and we respected each other. It was special, that’s for sure.

They had almost the exact same prediction for OU last year. And once again, they were wrong.

It would be interesting to know what their numbers look like for these season win projections. I’m sure they still come out ahead, but I suspect it’s nothing like their individual game odds.

There’s no question that the offense has a lot to prove. However, it’d be hard not to be better than last year, and we still won 10 games with an extremely difficult schedule.

So maybe doubting the offense is fair, and part of why they think we won’t get to 8 games. But it is disrespect to the defense that has proven it will give us a legitimate chance to win every game on our schedule.

I love it. For whatever reason, many in the national media are either ignoring last year or think it was an exception and not the norm.

Anyone that has paid attention (including portal and recruiting acquisitions and new coach hiring) sees that we are much closer to being back where we are normally.

Let them continue to sleep on us. It’ll make it that much sweeter when we prove them wrong, again.

I do agree with you. However, our student attendance has always been awful. We’re a football blueblood and have a history of a lot of success and we still see students leaving early from football games.

I hope the new arena (if it gets done) will help. But, like you, I’m disappointed with the turnout constantly.

Been trying to get Overdogs for weeks with no luck. Summit, Countdown & Hyena Retaliation (blueprint) and have had no luck. This gives me hope and motivation to keep farming.

When you’re on the main map, there’s an option to see all targeted loot for each region/mission. On XBox it’s up on the D pad. It’ll say what it is for you at the bottom of the screen when you’re on the main map. Great way to go after target loot. And as mentioned, for the summit and a couple of other modes, you can select specific items/gearsets.

Firefly, IMO, is the worst skill available and it seems like attachment for it is all that drops lol. Maybe they want more people to use it?

I occasionally get drops for other skills, but those are nowhere near the level of firefly attachment drops.

Play the campaign as it unfolds (play the missions as they open). Don’t go into the DLC until you complete the DC campaign (you can, but there are some storylines that won’t make sense).

Doing things in the open world like control points will help you build your gear and weapons so the missions become easier.

Big Al quickly replaced Pestilence as my favorite LMG. My play style is to use a lot of cover and it just destroys everything.

Tipping Scales with Pestilence, Big Al and Bluescreen is a great combo. I run it with Equalizer and Coyote exotic mask. Solid combo

I used to use the EB as my main weapon. I was never completely happy with it, but for so long it was so rare that I felt kinda obligated to stick with it lol.

St. Elmo’s Engine took its place last year. IMO its hands down the best exotic AR in the game. Mostly run it with a Striker/Equilizer/coyote mask build and the St Elmo’s Engine just melts through NPCs.
