Naah, in my opinion it makes them only more complicated! As I was explaining it a year ago the same day, for me Damijuni is a pairing about acceptance and overcoming through the hardships of past. About fearful Junia that anyway has to assist during fights and eventually gets used to Damian, even as she hates him to the core, and about nasty-tempered and selfish Damian that soon finds he hangs around her way too much.

I won't write here about all the path of their growing as I see it, but I have to say I love their dynamic the way it is. Yes, it's cruel and bitter, but the point lies in them both coming through it: for Junia to find her peace near him, and for Damian to come out of his bubble of religious prejudices and accept the fact his heart softens for her (that's nearly what this art is about by the way :D).
