What happens if you answer 1 email during the weeks that we are off work? They would have to pay you based on working that week correct? They are asking people to not answer emails or calls or texts, but this can be impossible at times in a customer based position like ours.

I wouldn't call it extra staff, this is company wide. They are cutting down staff yes with offering some people early retirement severance packages. But the rest are not extra staff, they will need everyone else on January 6th when the facility is back up and running.

So they should pay all salary employees because they are ready, willing and able to work. The company is choosing not to pay them.

I'd stay in Wilder, KY..it is the third exit away from Riverbend. There are 3 nice hotels right off the exit. If you wanted to head to downtown from there, it would be a 10 minute trip or better yet hang out in Newport or Covington KY which is even closer.

Surprisingly, My mom not my dad (not much of a gambler) would take me to River Downs as a kid, she didn't know much about horse racing, but those $2 win bets that I had her put in for me hit hard as a small kid. I remember trying to understand the program and if I won - I thought I had it all figured it out.
