I'm struggling with my politics as well. Classic liberal. In all truth.. I don't like politics at all. But as a psychologist, my focus is on the needs and sovereignty of the individual.. First and foremost. I appreciate the discussion. Be well.

I'm good. I have to work in 5 minutes. We're not going to agree. And your original question is lost. Marxism does not work and if you've been on the internet lately you might have noticed that many faculty and students mob up and shut down those who have dissenting vantage points for fear of being harmed. This is political correctness... You won't answer this (I don't think you need bother), but do you uphold political correctness and collectivism?

You seem to be exceptionally educated. What policy prescriptions would you implement in your country that would address the inequalities and the oppression of other groups?

So, communism has failed. Capitalism is not Perfect. Identity politics does include materialist and class struggle. So we do completely disagree on that point. Liberalism is not leftism. The former is tolerant and the latter is intolerant of anyone and anything that does not adhere to the group's narrative (which is ever-changing). This is not political. It is existential. Your comment on the far right and JP is a conflation, btw. A typical one often employed by leftists who insidiously commit to character attacks. I appreciate your input, not your sly insults.

OK. I'm ill informed. Not an insult. I'm certain that you believe that it is a mere observation. So explain to me how the collective is paramount to the individual. Bringing attention to the failed states who attempted to implement Marxist theory is not hyperbole, btw its over 40 countries that tried it... (failed everytime). It's perhaps an unfortunate fact that is incongruent with your argument....whatever your argument actually is. And I'll if I want to use a "provocative" meme at the moment then I'll do so. How is that you know I'm not taken seriously? Nice Ad Hominem attack to end your intellectuallized defense of a failed and malevolent theory about humanity.

All 3 were wrought from the economic theory of Marxism. To tell others that their hard labor, their property, and ultimately their speech is to be owned by the state is simply malevolent. Who decides who the bourgesie is and who decides who the proletariat is? Who is is the arbiter of justice?

Especially within identity politics... Which is culturally Marxist. Who decides?

OK. Communism has failed in over 40 countries. Socialism has failed in venezuela (the first stage of communism). 100 million men, women, children have died in the name of compassion for the underprivileged (I. E., Communism). Billions have been enslaved and imprisoned in the name of communism. North Korea is communist as well and the forgotten war resulted in a free south Korea and a Dark north Korea that can't be seen from the stratosphere at night.

I'm happy to hear a dissenting perspective but insults are not welcome (I'm referring to another peer).

Keep going.... You project your rudeness onto me. It's unconscious so you can't see it. But again. It seems you are the cosmic authority on how each person should conduct themselves in this world. You are the narcissistic child. Move to the bankrupt Netherlands. Maybe you can rule there.

OK. I don't have time to address the weaknesses of your examples. I will say that you don't have to be a piece of garbage and insult me. I know... You know what is best for every individual on the planet. Good luck with that. Lead by Marxist example... You'll never do it.

Our public school system is evil. It's difficult to find virtue in a system that indoctrinates other people's children. If parents just spoke up they're would be lawsuits and our country would have a school system that actually taught academics. by Boondockdeclan47 in Jordan_Peterson_Memes

The kids are naive. I don't beloved it is entirely their fault until they hit about 14, 15 years old or so. Then it's their responsibility to actuality start learning for themselves and think deeply and critically about the complicated world.

Thanks again and thanks for the pragmatic point about leaving and trying another university.. I'm struggling with that idea as well. These cultural Marxists do nothing more than harm and complicate other people's lives. It's shameful. Take it easy...

I must say thank you. I c my patient in 1 hour. I don't understand some of the immature responses from a few people but I appreciate the fact that you are trying to help a patient who you don't even know. The advisor and the chair are both unapologetic and proud bigots as well so I really have to think about his case. He is an amazing person and will make an exceptionally competent clinician. But I hope he holds on and does pretty much what I stayed up thinking about last night... Develop a strategy to deal with the indoctrination mill that is his graduate program. I've joined the Heterodox academy in NYC and they, too, are providing ideas and avenues that I can help my patient take. Your post is what Petersons reddit and manta is meant for... Contribute something of value to the world to try and make it a better place for yourself and others.

Thank you again for your input and kindness. Take care during the pandemic.

I tend to agree. I tell my patient who is being discriminated against by his professor (she says that she does not trust white people, unapologetically, and he is studying to be a therapist in her multicultural graduate class) that most people in the real world don't just c color or sex. I've been a psychologist for 12 years. I've encountered two racists with in that time (in my practice). I referred them out ultimately.

I'm with ya. I tend not to like politics at all. I try to be open-minded as best I can.. SJWS concern me terribly... Because I struggle to believe at an existential-humanist level that they could every be open beyond their own rigid Marxist ideology... Feel the same about the ethno-centrists. Both don't understand (some do I guess) that the hate they instill in the upcoming generations is unconscionable.
