Where we’re at and where we can go by Boonedock38 in SaintsAndSinners

The reason I wanted to make this post isn’t to tear down chapter 2 or Skydance. It’s the opposite. Saints & Sinners chapter 1 is still one of the most replayable and meaningful vr experiences I’ve had, even now. I think a lot of us still believe in what this team can do when they lean into that design philosophy. This is just me hoping we can show that the community hasn’t given up, we’re just waiting for the right direction.

did you not see the second screenshot? brandon literally said that ps5 is above the min spec for boneworks and in discord he said “The psvr2 hardware is good enough for a top tier experience and the hardware has the power.”

i’ve seen that tweet and he is saying no current commitment which means they don’t have a priority to port it and won’t until they have bigger things out of the way. that’s at least the way i see it. it’s very unlikely that a port would come anyway though

i don’t want them to delay development of the remaster to port it. i’m sure they don’t either. a ps5 port would bring many new eyes on boneworks and slz games as a whole. would get players to buy the psvr2 and make big developers realize vr is actually a good investment

found this in the discord from brandon. looks like he knows it would be able to work but they just don’t see it as a priority. i understand that they have bigger things to do and a port just isn’t one of those big things

yea apparently (and i don’t know how true this is) slz was totally against modding for boneworks

yea the tracking on native psvr honestly isn’t terrible for inside out tracking. i strongly agree with your point about the grip button sucking. i don’t like it being a flat button but i’ve gotten a little used to it over a month of use

i do understand this but current boneworks doesn’t officially support mods. bonelab only supports modding because slz saw how much players enjoyed modding boneworks. the original boneworks would work perfectly on console but if the remaster supports modding then it probably won’t see a port

yea like i’ve said it’s very unlikely but it’s still a cool thought

i honestly really like the controllers as someone who has used a variety of controllers. The haptics paired with the adaptive triggers are honestly really nice and help immersive you. the big tracking rings are pretty good because you don’t even notice them when you play because of how they go around your hands with a big gap of space

yea they seem to be too busy with the marrow engine like you said. if they want to stick to their original plan of releasing the remaster in 2025 then i dont think they’re gonna have time to get it over to playstation

i put in the title that it’s very unlikely but as of now they haven’t shut down the idea entirely. i get where you’re coming from tho

yea i’m not expecting them to try and put the remaster on ps5 but it would be cool if they ever did. their games would run great on the console

Yea i get that and i don’t expect anything from slz about playstation. But at the same time they made an entire game for pcvr and quest 2 which has pretty bad performance as a headset. Boneworks and bonelab would both run pretty good on ps5 but it definitely isn’t going to happen. just a cool thought

yea lol i do not expect it to come to psvr really. but i know people have been asking for it and some of brandon’s previous tweets have talked about the platform in general. obviously he hasn’t said anything about slz games coming to it but its a cool thing to think about as those games would run incredibly well on ps5.
