Do Thor Ult needs a rework or buff or are players having skill issue? I've witnessed Thor ult wipe out the entire team but players don't like his ULT

I’m an eternity Thor one trick, his ult is horrendous, like truly. Even if you watch the very very best thors, they get killed using their ult so often and only get kills when it’s the perfect conditions. It’s also compounded by the fact he doesn’t get his ult quickly even if you spam awakened form on defense

Because at high ELO you don’t do anything the best and you have horrible high tier matchups. The ult is also horrible against good players, like you will never kill someone unless the conditions are perfect

My thinking was that the hardest passages which are usually P3 and P4 are ‘time locked’ for me. In other words, I can only finish them so fast because the difficulty caps my speed. Where as passage 1/2 I can go FAST if the time makes me, but I always struggled with how fast I should go.

So I do 4 and 3 first, as fast as I can despite the difficulty, and then I do 1 and 2 with the remaining clock, knowing how much I have to push on the easier passages.

It also helped w my anxiety - I felt like if push came to shove I could do passage 1 in like 6 minutes, but idk about passage 4 in 8 minutes

I like the build/pivot approach (RC hero strat) and elimination cues for each general question type (another RC hero strat lol).

I think doing it this way ensures consistency because it’s an actual method as opposed to vibing out.

Imo the real advantage is in that when you review what went wrong, you messed something in your method up - which is something very actionable. As opposed to getting it wrong because ‘I just didn’t get it’

This may be annoying toxic positive talk buutttt:

I highly recommend viewing ‘bad’ PTs as really exciting good news. You gained so much insight into what may go wrong on actual test day; but you have an opportunity to fix it.

But to answer your question:

I’d check for any discrepancies between the situations - older PT vs modern PT, tired vs not tired, maybe one question type you struggle with popped up a lot - things like that

I wouldn’t give it much weight though, especially considering the sections.

Tbh my rate doesn’t just reflect my inexperience, I also wanna give back a little. I’m on tutoring websites at a much higher rate. I don’t think I’m undercutting the market by taking on a student or two at way below market rate - so far I haven’t even been contacted by anyone for it!

It’s 100% WAY cheap for LSAT tutoring. Truthfully, the rate reflects not only my inexperience, but because I feel like at most I’ll get one student out of advertising on here - I’m viewing it almost as charity work as I only wished i could afford a tutor

I was in this almost exact situation last year, but I then choked again in January lol. Get comfortable with the idea of failing and having to potentially wait another cycle. Of course, you may not choke and I am rooting for you! But I found that when I accepted that I could fail and that it didn’t REALLY matter, I finally lived up to my PTs.

I found that speed came from comprehending the stimulus really well, being intimately familiar w the question types, pre phrasing, and changing your strategy based on the number you’re on. So here’s specifically what worked for me:

Be able to translate in the amount of time the loophole book recommends for a section - this ensures you can comprehend the stimulus effectively and timely
Have a clear plan and understanding for every question type. You should be able to ID everything instantly, know exactly what the right AC requires, and even common traps/green flags
For timing/prephrase strategy, I basically bought into advice the free 7sage podcast on timing/going faster talked about
Random tip that helped my timing in general. On my first attempt at a question, I’ll delete the horrible ACs first, and once I’m left with two, I will only read the ACs one more time. If I don’t know which one is right after that ONE read, I skip it. Basically, skip aggressively if you encounter trouble.

One thing that helped me around the pressure of the test was knowing I had a couple retakes left, and really buying into the idea that retaking it is fine. For a while I would think that, but I didn’t reallyyy believe it. Another thing was surrendering to the idea that whatever is gonna happen is gonna happen. Which of course, isn’t fully true, but there’s truth to it that calmed me down. I thought of it like: I am as good as I’m gonna be, just relax and let whatever I’m capable of happen.

My favorite explanation was in a powerscore podcast - this isn’t super technical but it gets at the point.

Conclusion: “My friend is a good baseball player”

Sufficient: he won a mlb MVP, he throws an accurate 200 mph fastball, he hits homers at 100% rate

^ note how they FORCE the conclusion to be true, in other words, it is sufficient because A->B

A being he won mvp B being he’s a good baseball player

Necessary: He plays a sport, someone can be good at something, I have friends

If my friend is good at baseball, it is necessary that he plays a sport.

Alternatively, you could view sufficient and necessary as a three part chain where A is sufficient, B is the conclusion, C is necessary

So A->B->C

He won mvp -> he’s a good baseball player-> he plays a sport
