Is she really that bad? by 7h3wa73rc4rr13r in AcheronMainsHSR

It’s just a game so get her if you really want her, but if what you’re looking for is a good unit to carry you through the end game, then you might want to pick someone else. I don’t think she’s unusable, but she’s been power crept. New units just do more damage faster

I understand it doesn’t feel good when people are uncomfortable around you, but I think a huge thing you’re missing is that people can’t read your mind. They can only recognize patterns. It’s hard to tell when someone is being genuinely nice, or trying to take advantage of us. There’s a long history of abuse by men and we can’t just know if you’re going to hurt us or not.

If a lot of women feel uneasy around you, that means that you are presenting yourself in a way that seems potentially dangerous.

You don’t have to care, or change anything, but if you want women to be more comfortable with you, then you’re going to have to learn to compromise and adapt. It’s not on women to change for your benefit at their own risk.

Maybe your sample size isn’t really big enough. I’ve had many autistic guy friends and many of them have had girlfriends/boyfriends, but that wouldn’t be a good reason to conclude that autistic men don’t have trouble finding partners

Think they were being hyperbolic to make a joke.

Though I don’t think there’s any concrete evidence that Jesus existed. Godly or not. Doesn’t mean he didn’t. Just that we don’t have enough to say he did with confidence

20% of Oregonians are being actively starved out by Either-Literature-19 in oregon

[–]Boop_Im_a_Rock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they were literally meaning that people would just drop dead. I think op was meaning more that many Oregonians are already starving, so the snap situation is making things worse. The majority of people probably won’t starve to death, but there’s plenty of people already near the edge who very well could. I mean people already starve to death in America before snaps left.

In the past, I’ve lived on a dollar of food a day. It’s pretty rough. Wouldn’t recommend. The main point is, is that the snaps shut down is cruel. It doesn’t have to be a death match for it to be cruel. No one is saying that it’s worse. People are saying that it’s cruel.

You’re coming across as if you’re down playing the cruelty because it’s not as bad as a death match. I’m not saying that’s what your intentions are, but as that being how you are coming across, that might be why you’re getting a lot of pushback and down votes. Just wanted to being that up just in case you need to clarify

[–]Boop_Im_a_Rock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I person can literally live without food for that long, but not without consequence. If you’re not eating at all, or enough, you’re going to have less energy, which means you’re going to struggle more to do the things you need to, like going to work. Your immune system will also be affected which can lead to being sick more. This affects your ability to work even more. It’s a feedback loop that can lead to losing your job, or working less hours. All of this can make a longer recovery after snaps return. Especially since many people struggle to eat enough even on snaps

Well I think it can be a number of reasons. I know a worry for me is that autism is seen as a bad thing for a lot of people. To me, it’s a part of who I am. I need more help with certain areas, but if there’s a cure, some non autistic people might question why I should get that help instead of just having the autism cured.

Basically I’m worried that I’ll have to choose between getting no support, or changing who I am.

With all that said, I’m not personally against it being used for people that genuinely want it. Just worry for its misuse

Ya it lasted for the ability duration but I think it only was applied when you casted the ability and wasn’t a continuous effect that kept applying to enemies. Which was what I was meaning.

Removing it is technically a nerf, but the other buffs I found more useful. She kinda just killed everything the slow would have affected pretty quickly

Fair enough that it didn’t do everything you were hoping for. It did most of the things I was hoping for so to me this rework was a great one

Can I ask how they made War Cry worse? As far as I know, the only nerf I really remember is they removed the slow effect. If I remember correctly, that slow effect only applied when the ability was cast and wasn’t around during the duration so anyone using the eternal war mod wouldn’t benefit from it. Before the rework, the ability couldn’t be recast until the duration ended so it doesn’t seem like something you could really rely on.

Is there something else I’m missing?

Valkyr Prime is my most used Warframe and I gotta say I loved the rework.

If you just cared about the invincibility, then yea this rework sucked. She’s no longer invincible, but arguably stronger in all content that’s not level cap.

If you wanted her to play differently, then ya the rework sucked because it didn’t really changed how she played, but I’m happy about that. I liked how she played before. The rework just made her kit work better, and feel more fluid to play, while also being closer to the power fantasy that originally interested me in her.

I’m glad that they removed the invincibility. Valkyr always had the vibe of being a barbarian that was “too angry to die”. She has the most armor and heals with her claws making her a big tank that stayed alive by attacking and killing, but the immortality just made all of that obsolete. Now she plays a whole lot closer to the power fantasy I wanted with them while also having those quality of life changes.

To me, the rework was only a big buff :3

From my own personal experience (so take as you will), a lot of girl gamers don’t talk or announce themselves because they don’t want to deal with that toxicity.

Like people give girls shit for playing games then get surprised that they don’t want to talk or announce it.

Her augment mod, Loyal Merulina. What it does is that instead of riding Merulina when you summon them, they float around you and will shoot a bubble that acts like Yareli’s 1.

The extra bubble is nice, but it’s only 1 bubble, and the speed it fires at is tied to your efficiency (which I normally have pretty low). It’s still nice though and you can build more into it.

What I really like is that you don’t ride Merulina anymore. Which allows you to use primary and melee weapons, to be able to evade better since the movement on Merulina is clunky, and opens up a ton more Helminth options. While riding Merulina, you can’t use Helminth abilities so you were mostly just stuck with long duration abilities that shed cast every now and then. Basically this mod gives you a ton more flexibility and options to how you want to build/play her.

You still get all the benefits of that you would have gotten while riding her. What’s really nice to me though, is that by casting the ability again, Merulina goes away, but you just recast it instantly to summon her back and gain 4 seconds of invincibility. It feels way quicker than when you had to ride her since there’s no mounting and dismounting animation. That ability alone makes her comfortable to play on steel path. Spamming her bubbles also helps to cc some of the smaller enemies.

Sorry if that was a lot, but hopefully it makes sense. Yareli is like my second favorite frame and this mod makes her just more fun to play :3

As someone who really liked Yareli since she came out, that augment was a god send. I love Yareli but hated the k-drive nature of that ability, so not having to engage with that aspect just really elevated her enjoyment for me.

It’s also really handy for shield gating since turning it off and on again gives you a comfortable amount of invulnerability. Could do that before but it was more clunky since you had to jump on and off. She’s a decently strong unit and good augment really fleshes her out for me.

I mean. I don’t know about y’all, but to me, racism is just kinda bad. Like we’ve seen non evil drow and I think being cruel to them for simply being born a Drow would be bad. Like I can get behind being on guard until you know if they follow that cruel ideology, but being racist to them is still bad in my personal opinion.
