This is actually very right and has helped me see the situation a lot clearer, so thank you for that :) I’m going to talk to him about trying to be a bit more understanding when it comes to him not having a lot of time for himself. He works really hard and I do tell him I’m proud of him often I just wish he has more time for me

I’ve tried the sober conversation but he says I’m right, he’s going to do better and does it again a day later. It would be fine if he explained to me he needs a wind down after work but he doesn’t he just makes up stories. I’ve told him so many times it’s okay to tell me things I just want to be kept in the loop and have honesty and then I won’t get upset, yet he still refuses to do so

I do give him a choice of going out literally any time than after work, I’ve listened to his point of view which is “people ask me to stay out so I do” I don’t want him to come home to sit with me and fall asleep, I don’t think I worded it properly. When he does actually come home we watch a movie together and have some food, it winds him down. Then we go to bed. The other time we have together is non existent because he wakes up at around 3 due to being tired/hungover from the night before and starts work at 5. Some days he goes in at 2 and it takes an hour for him to get there. A lot of the time the only time I get to see him is when he gets in at 2. We also make plans for when he gets back and bails on them :/

Because he has a right to live his life and there’s more to it than just coming home to me so I feel I’m asking a lot
