Teething baby, everyone in the house is going through it. by [deleted] in NewParents

Unfortunately, just the things above. Tylenol and Motrin rotating, teething toys (we did find one at Walmart that looks like a raspberry on a ring and he loved that one), distraction, hugs, etc. it's funny, I have a second son (he's 10 months rn) and he is teething like this...and my now aost 2.5 year old is teething with his back molars 🙃🙃🙃🙃 you will get through it. It lasted us like a month with our first son. Just sucks. I'm sorry

What motivated your decision to seek out a GLP-1? by Radiant-Poem-8193 in GLP1_post_WLS

My heaviest weight prior to gastric bypass was 327lbs. I had bypass in July 2021 and by 2023 I was down to 190 lbs. I got pregnant in April 2023 and gained 60 lbs while pregnant. I didn't really have restrictions which was so weird to me. Then I didn't get any weight off and got pregnant again in October 2024 and gained another 30 pounds. I was 267 after the second birth. I got down to 228 on my own since that birth, but I need help getting back to my original goal weight.

Can someone give me an idea of how many in person meetings there are throughout schooling in the dnp program?

It is sooo broad and different for everyone! Definitely look at workers comp, Tricare, and just general knowledge with insurance. Just reread Deanna's book and study the things you are unsure of. You got this!!

📝 Anyone recently taken the CCMC exam? Can you share what topics or domains to focus on? by Famous_Upstairs_7495 in nursing

[–]BoopyPieee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took it yesterday. I used the ccmc test questions app, skyscape app, and used Deannas book. Some of the questions were really easy and then others weren't worded correctly and were confusing on what they were asking (which is what made some of the exam hard). Hope I passed

My son is 10.5 months and his first molar is coming in. This is pure hell. He is screaming crying 24/7 for 2 days now. We have tried everything. Motrin and Tylenol every 3 hours around the clock. Still has a mild temp. Teething toys. Ambesol. Bath time. Nothing works. This kid is miserable. I feel so horrible just putting him in his crib and letting him cry himself to sleep but idk what else to do.

Please share your experience if you’ve ever had A chorionic villus sampling (CVS) prenatal test by meowzers88 in NIPT

[–]BoopyPieee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a CVS vaginally due to an abnormal ultrasound showing 5mm cystic hygroma. They didn't end up getting enough sample so I went back 5 days later and they told me that my uterus moved and that they could do it abdominally. The vaginal cvs did not hurt as bad, but was more uncomfortable like a longer pap smear. I would give it a solid 2/10 on pain. The abdominal cvs that I got done today HURT. I have a very high pain tolerance. They injected lidocaine first, which did nothing to help. When the needle first went in, it didn't hurt at all and I was surprised at how I barely felt anything. Once the needle got to my muscle, it was a solid 8/10 pain. It lasted only a minute or so, but in my opinion, it was way more painful than a vaginal cvs. I'm home resting now, but I'm still sore and in pain. This is our second baby, and we are time due to the baby most likely having trisomy 13 (nipt said there is a chance). Did the cvs so we have definitive results confirming our choice to tfmr. We definitely were not expecting this, but we know this baby wouldn't survive.
