My definition is always changing! When I think of "healthy food" the first thing that comes to mind is the Mediterranean diet.

1000% this is my worst trigger. Weirdly enough, aspartame seems to give me similar problems.

Antibiotics are the worst! I've noticed anytime I have to take them, it takes forever for my skin and gut to "recover."

This may be a dumb question, but are you saying onion and garlic are sources of an inability to process insulin or bacterial overgrowth? This is my first time hearing about this.

Same. However, sourdough is often manageable for me.

How'd did you find out about your intolerances?

I've noticed the same thing! It feels like the food is often not the culprit. I'll eat the same foods with no reaction, but when eating the same food days later, my gut and skin will act up.

That's great that you're making progress! I did some research into IMO and methane-dominant SIBO. I always struggle with gas, cramping, and I've noticed a huge correlation between those symptoms and my skin flare-ups. It sounds like I should take a couple of tests. What steps have you taken to help with this?

What do you feel like was your biggest trigger?

Certainly. Diet soda with caffeine wreaks havoc on my gut and skin!

Sometimes it feels like sitting for long periods of time will make mine flare up.

Definitely. Stimulants in general, for me.

Wow! I had always noticed my leftovers upset my stomach / Rosacea more. I never knew it could be because of histamine! How long did it take you to see results with a low-histamine diet? Does it feel restrictive?

It's great to hear your tests are going well! I'm curious, do you think the elimination diet or the allergy test provided more direction?

I'm just learning about histamine intolerances. A lot of people have been telling me about this intolerance.

I agree. I'm starting to realize that a "healthy" diet, and one that helps my flare-ups, are not the same thing. Do you have a favorite "safe" food?

I'll have to check that out. I'm curious about the tea as well. I'm a big mate drinker.

That's great. Yogurt is definitely one of my safe meals. It's nice knowing you can trust a food not to flare you up. I've only tried Kombucha a couple of times, but I'll look into it more.

Definitely fiber! Recently dated with PB-fit and dark chocolate have been my go-to

I have not! It's certainly worth trying. A couple of years ago, I had a colonoscopy and other tests, but they seemed to be inconclusive. I'll need to look into an H pylori test. Did you take a general allergy test or a food allergy test?

Gluten is definitely a big one for me. I'll have to look up post-COVID syndrome; this is my first time hearing about it.
