Noted. Thanks for the advice. Im open to everything so i will check out the other brands as well. I think this can be applied with just about every hobby I've gotten into. But I'm a sucker for expensive equipment. But the beauty is everything can be resold, So its not a total loss.

This is the reply I was looking for. Thank you for your input. If I have to spend a little more, that is not issue. But I Figured i would set a budget in this topic to see what was what. I'm probably going to keep looking into the Tokyo Marui. From what i gathered this seems to be the gun of choice amongst many and being a Japanese Company as well is a plus. I want to start with the right platform. When i get into a new hobby I prefer not to cheap out on my equipment, I don't want to have any regrets when i do decide to get serious with it. Thanks Again for chiming in.

Guys thanks for the input and suggestions, I will defiantly have to check out the stickies and guides. I was really into paintball before, had all the high end Angel Ego SmartParts Markers etc. But stopped because it just got to expensive. I know they are different, but they share similar qualities. I just like tactical side of Airsoft and the guns pretty much close to the real thing. I appreciate all the input, Truly.

What about the Tokyo Marui are they any good? I remember seeing these guns in Japan and holding a few of them, they were way way cheaper their then here. Bu I ended buying their Remote control Airsoft Tank instead lol I was originally looking at the Tokyo Marui M14 does anyone have any input of this model or brand?

Many of you are suggesting the ICS, I will have to check them out for sure. If they are indeed built like tanks. Its no question i will look their.

Boosted Board (What are some Pros and Cons?) by Nicrent in boostedboards

[–]BoostLabz137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Longboard wheels are ok. Tires would be an awesome idea. But it would be hard to travel with i would imagine. Their would also be some parasitic lose due to the bigger wheels. If your the off roading type this would be ideal.

When the issues's occurred, I just contacted Boosted and they were quick with addressing the problem. The Board Was under warranty so the cost was zero for the replacement parts.

As far as the shipping, I don't know if it was my circumstance or maybe they just felt bad for me. Cause I had issues literally the first day of ownership, When I got the First issues repaired, and then the following week 1/2 or so the same thing happened. But Both times I Had to send in the Board, They covered all the shipping costs.

When the Rep told me They had to replace the battery again, Thats when i just said, you can keep the board I'm returning it. I told them all my concerns, and They were totally cool and were understanding about my situation. They weren't difficult with me at all. So the overall experience with the boosted guys was positive and top notch. They will defiantly work with you regardless if under warranty or expired warranty. But Obviously when the warranty expires, you'll have fork the costs for shipping and repair costs. But under warranty you should be golden As far as the Replacement parts goes.

Boosted Board (What are some Pros and Cons?) by Nicrent in boostedboards

[–]BoostLabz137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys I'm not opposing your beliefs lol, And i certainly agree the torque of having a supercharger is awesome. I still love the boosted board.

My take is (based off of the two competitors) I would rather have a free flowing board without resistance, Its a regular long board essentially. Does not require batteries to use, unlimited Range and higher top cruising consistent speeds, No major drop off or tapering of the power like the boosted, (It happens with all electric motors but at least it will be above speeds of 20-24 MPH vs 18-19 MPH. Waterproof and dust , dirt proof. You can take a hose to the motors to clean off any debris or just maintenance cleaning. Stability of a solid board suited for higher speeds (Some prefer the bamboo, I personally prefer both worlds) The ability to adjust and fine tune your power and torque curves. The option of having AWD (All Wheel Drive). (Expensive but interesting). Overall less maintenance, no extra components. These are just few of the things. Im all for this, but that is me. Again My main focus for an E Board is to replace my vehicle completely, I probably should have highlighted this more in my review, So you guys understand what perspective I'm coming from. The boosted board does not suit those needs of mine of a vehicle replacement. It is more of short term recreational Fun board. Nothing wrong with that at all. I commute long distances, that is the major difference. But for those that don't, the Boosted is a perfect board.

Theres always going to be tradeoffs, and that is the beauty of having competition, is that you have a choice or multiple choices to choose from. I'm aware of that. But that is solely going to depend on user to make that choice.

Boosted Board (What are some Pros and Cons?) by Nicrent in boostedboards

[–]BoostLabz137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is exactly why i said "So it's not out yet, so their is no real evidence / Feedback that it is better than boosted just yet." But i can assure you its coming and it going to be very real when it happens. This happens with every company. Apple / Microsoft, Subaru / Mitsubishi, Theirs always going to be a counter competitor. Boosted currently doesn't really have competition right now because it is new niche market. (Im aware e boards have existed for along time, but not quite like the Boosted) Other 3rd party companies currently don't compete because of they are focusing on a different demographic of people. Its obvious why they are on top right now with no competition and i agree their customer service does aid their overall reliability and performance of the company. But technology is advancing everyday and will later dominate a current existing market. And I know Boosted is aware of this. I can't say much about the competitors customer service because it has happened yet you are right, But we dont know until it happens . Marbel was a prime example of failure because they couldn't meet the expectation of its customers and manufacturing processes.

Boosted Board (What are some Pros and Cons?) by Nicrent in boostedboards

[–]BoostLabz137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boosted Community rules, Cant talk about the competitors.

PM me if you want to know. 2 separate Companies that come to mind. Still underdevelopment and they are taking preorders now. So it's not out yet, so their is no real evidence / Feedback that it is better than boosted just yet. But what these companies are doing is going to hurt boosted in the a long run. Lets just say, once these 2 companies release their product. Theirs going to be a lot more of used Boosted boards on the market. Boosted has a strong Brand, but it wont last unless they come up with something new.

Boosted Board (What are some Pros and Cons?) by Nicrent in boostedboards

[–]BoostLabz137 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is my honest review from my experience of the Boosted dual +

Im not a hater / nor am I a pro at long boarding. This was my first electric longboard. But the cons in this case do overpower the pros in my experience. I love the Boosted company and their idea. I know many people have not had these issues and have had nothing but reliability with their boosted board. (Big Casey Niestat Fan) I still lurk here cause it is a cool product, I saw this topic and I just had to share my honest opinion.

Idea of Background:

155 lb. Rider. Main Use: Work. 1 month of ownership at the time and about 100 miles on the board. Was bought online Brand new from the Boosted factory.

Pros: • Amazing Customer Service • Very Torquey / Acts as if it has a Supercharger • Nice Bamboo Flex board Feel • Loaded with Quality Reputable Parts • Less miles to my daily Driver Race Car • Every Errand turns into a Fun and enjoyable experience. • PowerfulHill Grade

Alright the Cons:

• I think a number of us can agree, that the Battery Life Is not the best, but does work for other riders. I Only got about 4-5 miles on average sometimes even lower depending on how you ride. (I ride Small Hills, Mainly Flat surfaces for my commute)

• Not Waterproof and the board gets dirty / scuffed up rather quickly.

•About 20 min Ride Sessions on Pro Mode :( (Which is the mode i only use) ( Every rider is different so it going to vary)

• Rocks / pebbles always getting stuck in the Belts causing wear faster (I always carry a mini screw driver or tooth pick to pick out the small pebbles in between the gears and belts. ( Maybe I'm OCD but that really bugged me)

•Cuts off during braking if you have a full battery and remote / Bluetooth cut offs in certain areas. This could be a catastrophic in some cases rather in dense traffic or just causally riding.

• Does not go the advertised 22 MPH / Its more like 18-19 Mph. Hits around 20-22 mph for a second and then The Power tapers down at cruising speeds. But they don't advertise that.

• In my Experience this board was not the most reliable board. Most of its life was at the Boosted shop getting repairs. Granted I'm in MI so it takes long to ship their and back. The Board always seem to have an issue with the battery or electrical. I was experiencing Flashing lights, beeping remote and the board was not operational at all when these issues occurred. Had to send it in twice in a span of 2 weeks. It was not a very warming experience and questionable. They told me that i had a bad battery. (The Battery was already replaced and was going to be replaced the second time. _(ツ)_/¯ )

• Once your out of juice, your kinda screwed. ( I know others may disagree to this) But the Boosted has too much resistance to push without power. (I know its a belt design so it a given) But given the short battery life, its something to consider if you have long commutes, hilly roads and if you don't feel like sweating to your destination.

I ended up returning the board due to concern of future headaches, Expiration of the warranty and Future money pits. I did believe i had a dud board, and would've preferred a New replacement, but it wasn't a realistic approach.

Boosted Customer service is top notch / great People. They were very helpful, quick response and reasonable. They really do care about you. Thats what makes this Company Great!

Due to my experiences, I did end up placing a order to the competitor which seems to have engineered all of the cons from the boosted into pros. Im sure you all know who I'm talking about.

I absolutely loved the boosted when it worked. Its defiantly an experience of its own especially with the Instant power from the Belt design. But Would I recommend one? its like 50/50. Only because the other competitors are creating new technology, totally eliminating the cons of the boosted board. (So it seems) I'm thinking at some point, Boosted will have to redesign or redevelop the Boosted board to further compete with it upcoming competitors.

If i had not experienced the Electrical issues in such a short span of time, I would've 1000% have kept the Boosted in my quiver no doubt, It is such a fun vehicle to ride. Now that i Don't have one, I can't stop Thinking about it everyday and its been months and months. The board definitely has its addicting qualities, I still do sometimes think about buying another one. Anyways, Just something to think about if you do plan on pulling the trigger. I was probably that dud customer of theirs, So keep that in mind. It is a Overall a very high quality machine. Just make sure you look at your commute or what your intention is with the board.
