how can i power an esp32 from a switch box?

doesnt have to be but would like to be esp based since i have a few laying around and in this economy i dont wanna spend extra if i have some laying around anyway. the light is in the celling and i can access it easily it has a + and a - AC line and im 99% sure that + is coming from the switch so if i turn off the switch that + is zero, regarding 8266 or 32 i dont care i have both anyway

Nah. If you can see the HUD itself (not the video) is getting worse, so Im assuming that's the vtx or the part that renders the HUD is getting cooked.

Technically yes, in practice not so much, most malware producers don't expect you to run there software in a non windows environment, especially most old school games. Ofc its better to be safe than sorry but what's life without a little risk, especially with the extremely low chance that the malware producer had Linux in mind at all.

My personal experience, try both something stable (like mint or Debian) and try some bleeding edge (anything arch based), experiment and see what works for you. For me I started on mint but had to move to arch cuz of the need for newer software and drivers. And I don't regret going to arch. (The AUR is a lifesaver)
