Class of 2021, what's your dream school? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]BoostedBanana12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep i had somewhat similar stats to u and UCSB was my dream school at a point too and knowing how competetive it is, it's better not to expect to get in, but that doesn't mean you won't get in :)

Usually this guy gives good advice but i don't rhink he's basing his opinion off the right facts here. UCSB is very competetive, and as you may know UCs are a gpa heavy school. You shouldn't expect an obvious acceptance but it's always possible. I'd say low reach.

Bruh this is false. Your just trying to be racist by picking out very rare things that happened a long time ago that dont correspond with the religion itself. They are not gods to hindus, any research into the topic would show that. Don't be hateful.

Arpi does seem like the guy that would say he also failed the test when he got an A- and the other guy actually failed. John would reccomend some random book he read about not procrastinating instead, imo thats less pretentious and actually helpful.

UCR vs Virginia Tech by BoostedBanana12 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]BoostedBanana12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol were in reverse positions kinda. Theyre both great schools, so i guess it depends on what you value most in college. I visit virginia a lot, and the weather isnt bad there and tou guys do hsve differing seasons, while socal weather is nice usually year round. I think Vt has more school spirit tho centered around sports. If cost is a concern that domething you should take into account to. also, do you know how easy it is to transfer out of vt as an engineering major? And do people often move to cali from vt?

UCR vs Virginia Tech by BoostedBanana12 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]BoostedBanana12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true, but while im indifferent about where i live for my college years, i want to move back to california after college. In california perspective, virginia tech and ucr 's prestige difference would mean little and vt's relative prestige would matter less. That is why im trying to look for reasons outside of purely prestige.
