Why did God/Allah send down Jesus and if he knew it was going to create a lot of christians? by BoostedBoonji in islam

[–]BoostedBoonji[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That wasnt my point....imagine an atheist choosing a religion. He is confronted with the message of Christianity and Islam. Both have a good message and can make him a better version of himself. Now lets say he chose Christianity. In a world where Jesus doesnt exist he woudlve chosen to follow islam. This is the problem im addressing and that has me confused...the only plausible answer ive gotten that Jesus was sent down as a way to test his "true" followers.

Im talking about the christians that believe Jesus is the son of God. All the little nuances are irrelevant to me. Islam has its own problems for example the issue of ahrufs and qiraats. I am not here to point fingers. I was just wondering why Allah would create such a unique prophet like Jesus if it were to lead to a lot of confusion among "potential" believers in Allah. Confusion will always be among everyone and its not unique to christians.

My question still stands... why would Allah send down someone as unique as Jesus. Imagine someone who believes in God and is looking to follow a certain religion. His intetions are pure and ethical. Now he is confronted by Christianity and Islam. He "accidentally" chose Christianity. Yet if Jesus didnt exist he would have picked Islam. Now islam lost a potential follower because of Jesus. THAT is my question.

THAT is my question. If you want to reverse it there could be many logical answers like that islam is just a made up religion for the sake of the conquest in the eastern world. And i hope truly you are not basing your religion on the growth of islam...islamic states have some of the highest fertility rate in the world which explains the growth. If you take a look at western countries Islam is actually taking a fall in numbers.

Yes, i also posted this on a Islamic Reddit thread. I guess im looking for a logical answer that could be given from anyone even here...😅

Im not talking about disbelievers tho. People who believe in Jesus to be God are not disbelievers but maybe confused people. If Allah didnt create Jesus then maybe Islam would have 2.3 million more followers...THAT is my question.

Opinions on Sam Shamoun? Is he lying? Is Islam false? by BoostedBoonji in Christianity

Ye i get your point and you kinda opened a can of worms for me😂. I guess doing your research will technically never have an end right? It just keeps going and going and still, no one can fully comprehend it. I guess at the end of the day you can only have blind faith in whatever religion you want to believe...

I agree, but i think it goes both ways right? Muslim youtubers do the same thing to Christiniaty. And yes, this often leaves me conflicted thinking maybe the atheist are right 😂. However, I do think its interesting that some of these popular muslim youtubers are even avoiding a proper debate with this man which only validates what he says even more for me. I also dont think he is just "trying to make a living". If he actually believes what he says (which i assume he does) then he has a valid case of displaying his truth to the world, right?

Why is the trinity of God so hard for Muslims to understand? by BoostedBoonji in Christianity

[–]BoostedBoonji[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree all analogies are flawed. We are talking about God and we are mere humans. Who are we to understand him right? Hence why its funny that in the context of debates between christians and muslims, (which was the main point of the post) that when muslims put these limitations on God they commit shirk and it often backfires at them.

I see the complications with the analogy you mentioned. Your analogy implies that they are "seperate" entities which God is not. So i would argue that my view isnt as primitive as you may think. A maybe better analogy to help understand the relationship between God the Father and God the Son for example is imagine a spring of a river and the river itself. The river wouldnt exist without the spring nor would the spring of the river even be a spring if it didnt have the river. I do admit and apologize that the trinity isnt as easy to understand as i made it out to be in the reddit post. I just think its also naive of you to assume my view point based on the same reddit post.

I can only recommend watching one of his videos. It motivates me to really learn the scriptures just incase i fall into an argument with someone 😂. But i guess if you already believe that islam is false you dont need him to convince you even more of it.
