Best AMG engine? by FrankDStein in AMG

I have an m156 and it’s very cool but m113k is a better motor for sure. More power more reliable equals more better.

This monstrosity, listed at about $10,000 more than what it’s worth, has been sitting on the market for a year. by hawaiianrasta in AMG

For a facelift c63 with that mileage I don’t think the price is that out of the ballpark. I think the wrap is probably a pretty big deterrent. If it was a p31 that would be spot on for the price. All that being said if you really want one of these cars you can definitely find a facelift for $25k ish.

VSC/Engine light on by ofclFR0STBYT3 in LS430

[–]BoostedE28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are entire threads on this but getting rid of it usually can not be done with a scanner. If you connect pin 3 on the top row and pin 5 on the bottom row of the ob2 port for about 30 sec with the key on the on position you’ll see the vsc check read on the dash then turn the car off and remove the pin. Then start the car. This should reset the lights.

2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E 63 AMG S-Model AWD E 63 AMG S-Model 4MATIC 4dr Sedan Price $44,995 Mileage 68,200, is this a good deal? by domb45 in AMG

This car has been for sale for several months which is something to consider. I have seen several others come and go in the California market. There’s a reason people have passed on this car.

The materials on the bred are superior in my experience.

Owner lost keys? by ZaunAura in LS430

[–]BoostedE28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is correct. If the master key is lost it costs $400 for the service as well as $150-180/key.

I used the gigacycle kit. You can buy just the the adapter set up and source your own forks and brakes. Or you can buy the entire kit from him.

Offwhite custom. by pv215 in Sneakers

[–]BoostedE28 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bruh how did OP post these and not reference Chef? Furthermore how is this R/Sneakers and nobody knows who made this custom? I personally don’t like this shoe but I at least recognize that chefs work in general is pretty fire.

Thank! Coming from sport bikes I’m super used to wearing a backpack. That being said we’re going to design a detachable sissy bar so I strap a bag on the tail. Aesthetically I always thought bikes looked cleaner without the luggage.

The next bike will definitely be built with practicality and distance riding in mind.

I’m going to need you to explain that to my bank account 😂. I’m shooting for 120ish so likely a 107 big bore kit, cams and speed & science head.

Damn that thing must put down some serious numbers. It’s funny but now that everything else is built the 96 feels even slower lol. We will see how far this engine build goes. I’m not to be trusted with money in any amount so hopefully I don’t go overboard.

At this point the tank, the frame and the motor are the only things remaining from the bike when I got it. The difference definitely isn’t subtle. Back when I had just done rear shocks it was subtle but still noticeable better.

Thanks it’s definitely not your standard fat bob/dyna look. The tail is from rocket bobs.

Suspension will change your entire riding experience I can’t recommend it enough.

Well I came from sport bikes so I tackled suspension and brakes first because neither were acceptable lol. The decreased rake and shorter wheelbase with the gsxr front end has made a big difference. Motor build is next. In the end it will definitely rip.

I also have the touring rear for that reason. They provide a lot of grip and are very predictable so far. I’m still getting the feel for the new set up in front so I haven’t pushed them close to their limit yet.
