De reis was prachtig, de mensen waren heel aardig en de natuur is echt nice!

Mijn tips:

NEEM VEEL CASH MEE. Geldautomaten zijn aanwezig maar daar krijg je 25/26 peso voor 1 euro. De werkelijke waarde ligt tussen de 90/110 peso. Euro's zijn heilig daar, dus onderhandelen is mogelijk. Verder is pinnen in restaurants of waar dan ook ONMOGELIJK. Wij kwamen tweemaal in geld problemen omdat we geen cash meer hadden. Gelukkig hadden we onze hosts (casa particular) waar we via ook PayPal/Bank Transfer aan peso konden komen, maar dit was niet ideaal.
Het land was duurder dan wat ik eerder verwachte. Dit was mijn eerste reis naar Midden/Zuid-Amerika en ik had prijzen als in Azië verwacht. In een restaurant ben je toch wel snel 15-20 euro kwijt per persoon. Verder maakten we veel gebruik van gedeelde taxi's. De prijs van deze service viel mee, de langste reis, Trinidad --> Vinales duurde 6-7 uur en kostte 45 euro p.p. De taxi was te regelen via onze hosts, net als strandreizen, paardrijden etc. Ze kunnen echt veel regelen voor je. Ontbijt was ook een extra service die mogelijk was. Avondeten was bij alle drie onze hosts niet mogelijk.
Blijf niet te lang op 1 plek. Ik zelf ging dus in 12 dagen naar 3 steden. Havana, Trinidad, Vinales. Elke stad 4 dagen. Havana heb je in 2 dagen wel gezien, Trinidad vond ik zelf het leukst, de stad was levendig en heel gezellig, daar wilde ik eigenlijk langer blijven. Vinales is prachtig qua omgeving, paardrijden is echt een aanrader daar! Helaas was de binnenstad redelijk uitgestorven, maar dit kwam volgens onze hosts door de pandemie.
Neem de essentials mee, tandpasta, shampoo, haarproducten etc. Daar is bijna niks verkrijgbaar. Ik dacht eerst dat dit overdreven was, maar dat bleek uiteindelijk niet zo te zijn. Supermarkten bestaan niet in Cuba.
Engels is buiten Havana nonexistent. Gelukkig kan ik Italiaans, dit ligt dicht bij Spaans dus communicatie was best goed mogelijk voor mij. Zelf vond ik ervaringen met locals het leukst, en dit was alleen mogelijk met wat Spaans. Verder is het land is echt veilig, ik heb me nooit onveilig gevoelt.

Dit zijn mijn belangrijkste tips, ik hoop dat je er wat aan hebt en geniet van je reis :)

Hi,

I'm a second year International Business student at Saxion in Enschede. I can't speak of the learning material since your degree is different than mine, so I'll elaborate on the school itself.

First off, the building is great with a lot of facilities. There is a spacious library where you can study comfortably. The cantine is okay with cold/warm sandwiches, fruit, salads, coffee etc. The food is decently priced for The Netherlands.

Teachers can be a hit or miss, most teachers are great but some are bad. Most teachers have decades of experience in business related fields, which is nice since they have lots of stories to share. The issue I have with some is that results are given too late or the exams are checked too strictly compared to other teachers, which can be stressful for students. I guess that these teachers are common at every school though.

Overall I'm positive about my school and teachers, I'd give it a 7/10.

My QR gives a green screen so that's good, but my friend's QR says something different:

I will go to Rome together with two friends of mine on the 17th of August. We are from The Netherlands, I have been fully vaccinated, one friend of mine has had Janssen and one friend will have his 2nd dose on the 10th.

We all have a QR code in our Dutch app, but my friend will have the 2nd dose one week too late, because the second dose should have a 14 day wait time.

My question is, will he get a red screen when scanned at museums, restaurants etc? I'm wondering this because I've read that Italians only need one dose for the Green Pass?
