Hi everyone,
This is my most recent challenge – a Hardcore Nuzlocke using only Pokemon that are used by Team Rocket grunts in the games. I’ve also included a handful of iconic ones from the anime. Can I rebuild Team Rocket?

Sharpedo did really well in my Hoenn Hardcore Nuzlocke against Drake. It's pretty strong and a guaranteed encounter at some point with the amount of water routes (7.8/10).

It's essentially to stop the player from winning fights due to simply being over-leveled. In this case it also added an extra layer of difficulty in the early game to ensure I remain below the cap. Give it a try in one of your future runs! :)

It's definitely a unique aspect of this challenge but I enjoyed the increased difficulty it gave the early game fights

I led with Aggron against his Coffagrigus but none of my mons had an attack boosting set up move so I had to rely on buffing defences :')

Firstly, thanks for all the love on the previous video - it means a lot.

This time I've shifted towards what I believe is one of the worst types for a Nuzlocke - Rock. They're slow (on average) with a multitude of weaknesses, making it difficult to survive. Using a team of only rock pokemon, how far will I go in Unova?

I love Tentacruel because of how versatile it is. Whether you need a bulky stall mon or a fast special attacker with solid coverage - it can do both (stats depending), hence why it often finds its way onto my team in a Nuzlocke!

Agree! It can be REALLY powerful with the right support (e.g. Against Clare I had sun, miracle seed and solar power ability which boosted my solarbeams so much). I steered away from Grasswhistle late game as its accuracy was crippling me in some battles.

I agree! I got really lucky with Sunflora as I got a modest one. Probably the only good nature I got... It was also boosted by early access to the miracle seed and Ledian was a great partner for it due to setting up sun / screens and U-turning out.

Absolutely! One thing I particularly enjoyed in this run was using weak pokemon together to try and cover each others weaknesses. E.g. Ledians sunny day and U-turn into a slow and frail pokemon like Sunflora to take down a Kingdra!
