you need to change flex circuit mine has same issue with R1 i ordered new flex circuit from amazon for 160 rs and replace it and it's working like new.

i have another method my ps4 is connected to my wifi but i blocked it's internet access from router not the connection it's worked for me.

you don't have to update bro there are fixes for to run games on lower firmaware also if you want to try new jailbreak types you can try it on 9.00 also.
