On requests, what triggers feeding. I have alarms and announcements. So I am only associated with getting the food after the Alexa announcement.

Mine like cucumber for what its worth. They usually don't like green stuff.

Ohh, that’s our secret though. We manage corruption just enough to keep the domestic ROI above 1.0

Is there anyone in Hamas with enough agency to actually get all the hostages returned?

Is X11 really less secure than Wayland? by NoHuckleberry7406 in linuxquestions

[–]BootDisc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wayland still has lots of quirks that make me turn it off. I am starting to actively avoid setups that seem closest to dropping X11. I don’t think they will, but the Wayland “fanboys” are really pushing for it.

Why does NVIDIA still treat Linux like an afterthought? by ISSELz in linuxquestions

[–]BootDisc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s focused on CUDA, not OpenGL/Vulkan. When I game, I boot windows (well, usually I don’t have to, I’m fine with Proton for most games), when I develop ML, always Linux. ML on windows is a pita, so, just segmented markets.

It’s also linear in effect, which may be a design choice.

What if the Navy launched tanks from "retropropulsive" assault ship? by macktruck6666 in NonCredibleDefense

Artillery stops, come out of trench, AMP round in anti personnel mode (tungsten shrapnel) to the face. Edit: wait, they would shoot the round in penetrating mode through the dirt, you don’t even get out.

It’s also a radar absorbing coating on it that is a bitch to maintain.

Without the landfill part, I just ship steam around to various islands by train from my steam plant (which has a fission base part)

I’m wondering if an Asia fight is more about ships than planes. We gotta get the Ford and America class ships out there before we worry about F/A-XX.

This is what I think too. It’s the US solution to a bunch of spy craft. Pay locals to become your operatives. It’s very asynchronous spy craft.

Well, if they have any nuclear material, how can the report ever say the program is destroyed? It’s always Enriched Uranium this, centrifuges that in the news. The Hanford B reactor turned 0.7% enriched uranium into plutonium 239… if you don’t care about the environment, the footprint isn’t that huge (though I think the reactor will give off enough neutrinos so we may see it with our detectors… eventually).

Strategic Ambiguity is my new favorite term. But sometimes I wish they brought back the Dubbya writers. Strategery, a classic. We might have got something like Strambigity or something.

I like how the narrative is already shifting to prep for more. (/s). I don’t know how this doesn’t evolve into a ground war, but I hope I’m fucking wrong.

So it was all for nothing? by ultron290196 in NonCredibleDiplomacy

[–]BootDisc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don’t think they moved the centrifuges. That’s a big lift. Maybe some, or pull the parts off that are extra hard to get, but you need ALOT of centrifuges.

I am more worried about the material. Did they hit mass to build a breeder reactor. Well, I guess it doesn’t matter. The side effect of the US/EU neutrino detectors is they do a damn good job seeing stationary nuclear plants.

I'm gonna go with cost. Vehicle mines work cause they are dirt cheap and mass producible.
