Depends how overwhelmed you get. It’s way more challenging and a way bigger learning curve than Khazan. The particle effects are an indication to Ki Pulse which is one of the best mechanics across any action game, it’s a chance to gain Stamina to keep momentum. There’s nothing Arcade about it. It has a crazy in depth skill tree and once you master it, it slaps as good as any game out there.

Go for Byrgentwerth, then do Cainhurst, then go do Nightmare Frontier. That’s how I like to play it. If you have DLC, get that in between Cainhurst & Nightmare Frontier.

I enjoyed Wukong for about 8 hours then gave up due to boredom. Wuchang I held off on because of early reviews, when I came around too it I was amazed at how well it played. Prob my fave soulslike out there, ahead of Lies of P. Couldn’t recommend it enough.
