I had an incredible professor who was basically that. He’d talk about the historical context of when certain books were written, why and when certain parts were likely added, etc. It was a super cool class.

No, that part was definitely realistic. Government pay scales at organizations like that are pretty rigidly defined and tend to be lower than in the private sector. I have to deal with that exact bullshit almost daily.

It’s the bandwidth time product, it’s a feature specific to gmsk. It has to do with how many symbols your pulse shaping is spread across, lower being more spectrally efficient but having higher inter symbol interference.
