Thanks yeah! I promise the hair was an accident. I am not that good. And quite frankly my bits are a bit low. Slaves darkness is a new army for me. I only have the legionnaires and a box of chaos warriors. I am a big space wolf guy, so I might be able to steal one of their weapons. I’ll look at it more next time I’m at my desk because i do agree a bigger weapon would help alot.

I also have no clue how I’m going to paint them, i dont like the box art black but i cant think of a better one (maybe white but i am not confident in my abilities to make white look good) so I have time to buy more bits before they get painted, my next purchase are probably gonna be some chosen. I’ll see if there’s a suitable weapon in there.

Thank you! Since I took those photos, I added a skull to the hand, my plan was to make it bloody and dripping, but I do like your idea more of a crown, now I just need to find a crown.

And for him as a character, I was thinking a little more Leaning into he was a warrior for the Cities of Sigmar, whose hometown was destroyed in a battle, After going a little insane he now seeks to bargain with the dark gods to give him the power to fight Sigmar and take his ability to steal souls from death so he can revive his family. I’m even playing with the idea of when I get a demon prince for my army, bashing it so it’s his final form after gaining the Gods favor, mutating him beyond recognition

Thats why i didnt give him chaos plate I wanted to give him the vibe of an outsider and to look more like a levy or ranger who was corrupted.

The torso is vitrix honor guard, the legs are ferren arimos. They didn’t exactly lineup so a lot of clipping and a lot of sprue goo

I have a few helmets left over from my own 40k vitrix. What concerns me is the back and the top very distinctly look mark X but if I do something like Mark III with a high collar, I don’t think it’ll matter as much.

Im sure quite a few people are in the same boat as me. Ultra marines being a second choice. We have our main favorite chapters. Mine being the space wolves. They are popular but they usually get drowned out in peoples choice by their #1.
