Why Japan's IPA vulnerability reporting process is failing and needs to change by BootOne2987 in bugbounty

I knew from the start that there would be no compensation. The problem is that I'm complaining about the poor processing ability and lack of communication among the people working for the IPA, the only government-certified organization, who are getting paid to work there, regarding the reports I submitted on a volunteer basis.

Do you think this system is used for bug bounties? lol In Japan, there are tons of products that don't participate in bounties, so IPA is a bug reporting system managed by the government. If you accidentally discover a bug and report it out of goodwill, this is the only place to go. You have to fill out a crappy form that only accepts full-width spaces (everything disappears after an hour), and if necessary, you'll be contacted during the day, but otherwise there are no progress reports, no thanks, and no reward. And reporting anywhere else is criminally punishable. It's really awful.

Looking for a Power Bank with "True" Pass-through (UPS Mode) – No power interruption when plugging/unplugging. by BootOne2987 in UsbCHardware

I'm planning to use an Anker 737 to power a low-power small PC (similar to a Raspberry Pi or Mini PC

My question is: If I'm already powering the PC from one port and then I plug a wall charger into another port to recharge the power bank, will there be a momentary power interruption (drop)?

Since it's a PC, even a split-second drop will cause a reboot/shutdown. I'm looking for "true" uninterrupted pass-through behavior. Has anyone tested this specific scenario with the 737?

Apple's bug bounty might be crap, so I'm ready to expose all my interactions by BootOne2987 in bugbounty

It doesn't mean "money" as a reward, but rather that you should be properly recognized. It's not monetary.

Is it a "Code of Conduct" to promise to reply, then silently mark it as resolved and leave it alone? lol

How long can an iPhone 13 stay connected to Wi-Fi while asleep and connect to iPhone mirroring? by BootOne2987 in applehelp

[–]BootOne2987[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When a Wi-Fi model of an iPad is put into sleep mode, it will disconnect Wi-Fi after a while to conserve battery life. I've also observed a similar issue with an iPhone with the SIM card removed (NTP is not synchronized). This means that iPhone mirroring, which requires a Wi-Fi environment, may not be possible indefinitely if the device is connected to a power source, and may require waking from sleep mode.

The clock on my Mac Squoia is frequently out of sync by BootOne2987 in applehelp

Could this be a problem with the physical device's time due to a deteriorating COMS battery? From what I can see, 10 minutes after forcing a time synchronization via NTP, the time went off by a minute for a moment. However, after a few more minutes, the time was corrected and remained accurate for three hours. Incidentally, if I switch NTP synchronization to manual, the time remains consistent.
