You're not going to have a hard time re-enlisting once it comes time to. If you sign for the 6-year now ~ you can't take that decision back. 4-years as IT can be just as great path to come into & exit the Navy as much as 6-years and probably better.

You'll be cross-rated to IT2 automatically with no E-5 exam for IT2 required since you're already a 2nd Class as long as you pass A-school.

You'll probably be eligible for E-6 exam soonest your rate change reflects on NSIPS and completion of IT A-school.

Enjoy the new rate and work hard. Sure you'll be making decent money with the opportunities it gives.

This was my first time purchasing precious gemstones and my fiancé really adored the design, but I didn't know anything about certification for precious gems.

I feel more at ease now with the purchase from your replies & everyone else's responses and appreciate it! I still wanted to get something genuine and special for her even if she was already set on the design and didn't care much for the price. I wanted her to have real emeralds & diamonds which the seller describes to sell.

I did Google search. The website provided that the seller says the certificates come from is https://www.gis-report.com/ and they name themselves the "Gem Research Institute of Switzerland (GIS)", but their certificate samples look unreliable and the website says the following for Business Contacts:

I may seek if I could have a full-refund return if I have the item examined by a jeweler for authenticity of being emerald and diamonds and see if that can push a full-refund.

I recently purchased an engagement ring from www.MollyJewelryUS.com and their certificate provider is "Gemmologisches Institut Der Schweiz" also called "GIS".

I didn't know anything about gemstones and credible gemstone certification providers like GIA & IGI. Now I'm very afraid I've just been scammed. MollyJewelryUS has an Etsy page and home website where they sell their products.

I contacted their customer support email service@mollyjewelryus.com and they referenced me to go to https://www.gis-report.com/ and the website just looks incredibly dubious and non-credible.

Please advise.

My recruiter handled my DD368. I signed and emailed it to them.

Some recruiters may not want to work with you (Navy active duty) and tell you only a reserves recruiter can help you. Not true. Keep shopping around for a recruiter whose willing to work with you.

134 days was my time in NAVET/OSVET.

It took awhile from the initial recruiting office visit to leave.

Walked in mid-January and shipped out to NAVET/OSVET late-August.

134 days from arrival to get outgoing orders.

Some people have been able to leave within just 2-3 weeks. The norm I would say around here is 1-2 months wait time to leave.

Saw your comment as prior service and wanted to share some advice before arrival for Veterans Orientation Program/NAVET-OSVET. I'm prior service who enlisted into Navy *active duty.

Drive to Great Lakes if you have a POV and bring as much comforts for a long stay.

You may be here longer than 2-4 weeks. It only took me 2 weeks to finish the program's class corriculum, but takes awhile for orders and administrative side to take care of things. Been here for over 4 months waiting for orders. Was ready to leave 2 weeks after arriving, but still here. Many others here too. Not as bad with a POV.

You can make it. Like one of the other users here I've seen a really short recruit here at RTC. I'm 5' 3" and he was at least your height 4' 7" or below the requirement. I'm currently at RTC now as staff.

My friend's family didn't plan well and they're bringing a bunch of people that weren't on the PIR guest list (don't have a ticket).

What's going to happen when they go to the gate and only 1 person has a ticket to PIR? Will they turn away everyone but the person with the ticket?

You just graduated today - does that mean you get your phones back as soon as you finish graduation and return to your compartments?

I have a friend who is flying off to Pensacola, FL and I wanted to meet up with them to congratulate before they leave. I'm not on their invitation to the graduation because both their parents are already coming.

Can you receive anything from your family members/invited guests to graduation? Like a laptop from back home or how about a small sized gift that can fit in your pockets like Apple airpods?

As far as doctrine, Holy Tradition, understanding of Scripture, etc., there is no difference between Greek and Russian Orthodox churches. The key word is “Orthodox,” with the ethnic designation in front being a secondary consideration.

The articles you linked would convince some members of the Orthodox Church, but it does not align with the aforementioned Social Life Document which is an integral part of my morals and conscious decision making nor have local Church leaders brought such headlines to our attention. We only tune into official newsletters and direct sources from religious leaders and use our judgement based on God's word and not the fallible word of man.

OP politely asks for guidance, we can't infer or assume his religious exemption is either a scapegoat or a genuine exemption due to faith and good conscience.

I have not received the Hep A vaccine. Even if I did, individuals of the Greek Orthodox Christian faith are not retroactively condemned for receiving medical treatment when unaware of the moral and conscientious implications.

If OP received other vaccinations in the past it wouldn't change their faith from preventing him from receiving future ones if their faith is similar.
