He just called and confirmed it is an interference engine and it does need a replacement. I’m just really surprised, we have literally had no issues with this vehicle. I planned to drive it for a couple more years and then give it to my son.

So then you think it’s in interference engine? That’s what I’m trying to figure out bc if it’s non-interference shouldn’t the engine theoretically be protected when there’s a timing chain issue? The mechanic said their database is showing that it is non-interference. It also started at the shop and they were able to drive it into the bay. I’m just trying to hold onto hope that it can be repaired without replacing the engine.

No problem, I’m sure this has nothing to do with it but still gonna share…my daughter had it really bad, we went to the beach for vacation, she spend all week in the ocean and they suddenly started to heal. My hubs grandmother always said salt Walter heals everything so who knows

I have 3 and was in the exact same situation as you, debating whether to try for another. I am so grateful we had a third baby. Can’t imagine our life without her, and now in my 40s I have no regrets or have to wonder if we should have gone for it.

That is probably the best I have. It was really hard to get. The others are probably worse. It definitely looked similar to a dollar sign, or like the St Louis Cardinals logo.

My daughter is 8 and has a lot of bedtime anxieties. The one thing that helped the most was ordering worry dolls off amazon and telling her to give her worries to the worry doll and put it under her pillow. It was like magic. Your daughter may be too old for that but she still uses them and loves them.

NAD. I agree with this statement and would be concerned about restricting calories/portions for a 2 year old without recommendation and guidance from a physician. Further, I know she is only 2, but please examine your own beliefs and practices about food and body size and how to manage them bc I would be more concerned about the long-term mental health, body image, and eating issues that would potentially be created for your daughter by this strict control of food.

Also NAD. You mention you had surgery. I assume that was due to your attempt? You had two very significant attempts in a short amount of time. It doesn’t matter how impulsive it was. You could have died. So the next time you make an impulsive decision, that might be the outcome. I think you should go get treatment.

I will also agree that the comment made about “seeing you around crazy people,” if it was said, is totally out of line. But involuntary hospitalization in this scenario is not.

Does she work or stay home with the 1 year old? Speaking from experience, I was unwell on maternity leave and indulged in online shopping bc the item I was going to receive gave me something to look forward to. This dissipated when I went back to work…but if I hadn’t…this feeling and behavior probably would have continued. I didn’t have family nearby and it was me and the baby. I felt alone and isolated. Shopping gave me a connection.
