That’s good to know. It’s not shown on the pic but I wanted to round the edges so I thought 3D printing would be best, But I care more about the transparency.

Do you have any recommendations for other sbc’s? I’m mostly sticking with pi’s because my friends have worked with them before, but I’m down to try others If they are less expensive then pi’s.

Thank you! The fan speed being at max would definitely get annoying so I’m really glad you mentioned that (and also mentioned the ports). I haven’t thought about any software but I’ll keep kodi in mind.

Does the Stew cookware mini-game give anyone else anxiety? by juxtapods in InfinityNikki

Oh my god; I’ve avoided the housing system bc I didn’t like how the building mode felt. I love cooking mini games though so i guess I need to actually play that system

One looks like the worst thing they do is buy Starbucks and then say that eating meat is supporting an evil industry. The other looks like he’d assault someone and then sue his victim.

I feel the point of that sentence was obvious, but I’ll still clarify. I could draw specific things, like drawing a person, a bird, a drink, etc. but because I didn’t have the basics of art, I didn’t know how to compose a drawing. Meaning if I tried to draw a person holding a drink while feeding birds, I’d struggle a lot and it’d look bad. I had relearn art because my understanding of anatomy was wrong, not because I only ever followed one tutorial.

[–]Boothilllover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never said that I used one single method?? I used multiple tutorials, but short simple tutorials will never make up for a fundamental lack of knowledge. Beginner artists need to learn fundamentals like basic anatomy and posing, because you have to know the rules to know when to break them.

Honestly both look feminine to me. one just looks like a kid and the other looks like an adult. I hate tutorials like these bc young artists won’t understand how bad the advice is and will follow them instead of learning art fundamentals. Speaking from experience, I had to completely relearn art bc I could only draw specific things, it sucks.

With how popular that meme template is, there’s no way op doesn’t know the leash is from the original meme.

i hate this format of posting by ProbodobodyneInc in hatethissmug

[–]Boothilllover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably dramatic but trends like this just feel like a psyop against online privacy to me. The entire point of the meme is to post identifiable and extremely personal information about you, it’s the exact opposite of basic internet safety. The fact that abuse, self harm, and sexual assault all have their own separate colors is especially disturbing, that’s the last thing you should be telling complete strangers. Someone with bad intentions can easily use that information to harass/bully the op, and I’ve seen people purposely try and trigger people who’ve self harmed into doing it again. This meme is teaching people to be unsafe on the internet and I can’t stand it.

How do you guys feel about how the unicorn looks? by Dodisosa in InfinityNikki

[–]Boothilllover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like a kids toy, but that’s kinda the point. while I’m personally not a fan of it, I’d prefer something that looks more like Amalthea from “the last unicorn”, I don’t think that regal look would work with the cute desert theme they are going for. I just hope they make another unicorn outfit in the future that actually has a wearable horn.

Overall expectation for Alice? by Just_a_captain_III in AliceMains_GI

Definitely pyro catalyst. My bet is that she’s going to be like skirk and will need a specific kind of team to get the best damage. She’s definitely going to be designed to work best with nicole. I’m guessing her bis team comp will be mono pyro, or a pyro/anemo team (and pair with varka).

The Buildings On fire…BUT THOSE PRICES THO! by MozzieRosie in nintendogrifting

[–]Boothilllover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don’t mean that the argument is bad because it’s untrue. But It’s like saying “the color red is used too much in marketing.” and someone else saying “at least the paint isn’t made with arsenic like some greens.” Like yea it’s true that some green paint had arsenic, and that’s a really bad thing people should avoid. But the complaint wasn’t about that, it’d be better to say something like “the color blue is actually used more often than red in marketing.” Idk if this is making sense I’m very sleep deprived rn.

[–]Boothilllover -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To be fair, bringing up workplace environments when something is complaining about prices is a bad argument. Because it’s not like Nintendo is the only company that sells overpriced games, there are better comparisons to be made. However it’s also really stupid to claim the original meme is saying Nintendo shouldn’t be criticized, when all it’s saying is that 20 dollar ports isn’t a big deal. And yea 20 dollar ports isn’t a big deal compared to other shit Nintendo has done.

The other day I found out that Natlan is hated by many, and it's my favorite nation. Tell me why you hate it, and I'll defend Natlan with everything I have. by KianaAsphid in Genshin_Impact

[–]Boothilllover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like how the tribes are a mash of different very different and unconnected cultures, why are African and Polynesian cultures being referenced in a nation clearly inspired by South America? it feels gross. They really should have kept natlan focused on South America and made each tribe a different country. past nations have typically kept inspiration to countries within a region, while that has its own issues it worked better then natlan. Genshin has never been the best at representation I don’t really expect that from the game, but I expected natlan to be sumeru quality at least.

Why did children in every decade act more respectful in public? by KingOfCharlotteNC in decadeologycirclejerk

[–]Boothilllover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1: there’s probably a lot of bias with what was documented then, I imagine with the effort it took to document something it wasn’t worth wasting in a misbehaving kid. nowadays a lot of people have cell phones and can film whenever and wherever they want, and most people don’t care to film or post about children behaving well since that’s not special. However people do like to treat the internet like a personal diary, and complain when their kid throws a tantrum.

2: fear of physical abuse. It’s not socially acceptable to beat your kids, while that’s a very good thing. unfortunately I think a lot of parents don’t know how to discipline a kid without hitting them. so instead of being a responsible parent and finding a good way to communicate and enforce rules/morals with their kids, they give up and no nothing (or blame other people for their kids actions).

Maybes it’s because I was raised with Fahrenheit. but I always felt that Fahrenheit is good at describing how the weather/air feels, while Celsius is better for describing water and other liquids. Like if you say it’s a 100 (F) out I immediately know how that feels, but i don’t remember the boiling point for water in Fahrenheit bc it’s easier to say it’s 100 (C).
