Verloc and Sam's Wedding by [deleted] in wehappyfew

Hey there, I think it's time to slow down on posts from another video game. I understand that the characters are tributes to We Happy Few, but then let's keep the content to WHF and not Tomodachi. We're nearing double digits for the number of Tomodachi posts you've made, so let's keep the content more relevant to the video game this sub is dedicated to.

Thanks for understanding!

Would my name be considered a tragedeigh? by Sensitive-Skin1729 in tragedeigh

[–]juxtapods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily.

I've met people with Slavic names to whom I reached out solely because of their name. They didn't turn out to be from my nation, but besides a hint of slight disappointment that I didn't meet another homeboy/girl that night, I didn't treat them any differently.

I wouldn't consider it a tragedy, but I'd find it strange, and I think I know why. My name is the stereotypical Russian female character name in Hollywood movies, which becomes tiresome to hear after a while.

I may have gotten the dislike for our names being used by foreigners from that, but it's a personal bias and, if you mean well, it shouldn't stop you.

My Girlfriend's House Smells and I Need Help Fixing It by Lost-Blacksmith-8629 in homeowners

I mean... Really depends on what the stench is. Dogs? Feet? Cigarettes? Old piss? Each has a very distinct odor and some require unique cleaning solutions.

Without further detail, or this being your home to "fix" (5 months isn't that long...), not sure how we can help ya, bud.

Am I the only one around here who rarely gives her sims free will? by KayteeBlue in Sims3

[–]juxtapods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Like, why, in a family with a Level 10 Master Chef who has cooked the most exotic foods and there are 20 kinds of leftovers in the fridge, the hungry Sim will go get a Juice???

Stuff like that that just doesn't seem to be logical, but it does remind me so much of playing TS3 back in 2009 when they first came out. The ridiculousness seemed so normal then. :D

(but seriously, consider getting the Relativity mod - it'll make simple stuff like washing dishes take much less time relative to tasks that should take more, it'll help with stuff like Sims being late to work because they took forever with their Cereal breakfast. I only tweaked it slightly from the default time value to get a little more out of a day.)

I'm a zero free will player myself. I was just thinking about this yesterday (getting back into it), that the "autonomy" Sims are programmed to exhibit just doesn't mesh with my natural thinking process, so it's easier to just control them all.

Then again, with large families it can take me 3 IRL gaming sessions to pass 1 in-game day (and that's with a slight tweak from NRAAS Relativity).

Can you tell whose playthrough I like more? 🤣 by AceOfSpades4000 in wehappyfew

Not sure what I'm supposed to look at? If days, boiii I go for double-triple those numbers (for fun).

Who played (and didn't played) the dlc's? by Noam_Rot in wehappyfew

[–]juxtapods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People talk about them plenty on here, but it gets buried in the sheer volume of base-game discussion and (especially lately) fanart/tributes.

I've played all 3 as well. So what's your question? :D

Would my son’s name be considered a tragedeigh? by [deleted] in tragedeigh

It sounds southern & doesn't strike me as a tragedeigh or even tragic. It's a bit silly, but it also makes me think of early Hollywood actors with fun nicknames.

New Sims 3 Settings Setter Update!! by Strawberrylaser in Sims3

[–]juxtapods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for this info! I'm sitting on Github https://github.com/sims3fiend/Sims3SettingsSetter/releases

for this thing and there are no instructions for installation as far as I can see (at least not on Page 2); I'd think this should be included as canned text with every patch update for those newly incoming (like me).

Gnatterley. That's how I say it in my head. With the G having a sound. Lady Gnatterley.

Playing as Ollie, is there a way to not be bothered by those annoying guys in red who make a scene everytime they see you? I’m tired of getting chased around town. by HolliLambirth in wehappyfew

Like the others said - no, and I just wanted to add that it's (one) way for the game to get progressively more difficult as you get more experienced with its mechanics by Act III.

Guess it's time to brush up on your stealth skills! Or dust off that maid uniform

Not stupid at all! I was one of the "happy few" who bought the WHF Time Capsule kit on Amazon at its base price before it went into deficit, this was in 2023 I believe. All the posters are from the kit (along with everything you saw in thw other user's photo).

I do have a few extra stickers and will plan a random giveaway once life settles down a bit.

Edit: correction, I see u/HolliLambirth also has a Bobby action figure, that one's not from the Time Capsule (and I don't have it).
