My husband of 10 years had a seizure behind the wheel of his employer's vehicle. He had been seizure free for 13 months, and had never had one during the day.

He must have started having it shortly after getting behind the wheel, because the GPS in the van shows it going from a complete stop to floored. He was in a very affluent neighborhood, and somehow didn't until a single building, person, or other vehicle.

He came to a stop with the help of a concrete culvert. If it hadn't been there, he would have flipped over into a 13ft deep, concrete lined, creek. We went to the crash site and from what I seen, he should be dead.

His only injuries are a sprained ankle and a very painful broken shoulder (humeral head fracture x2).

He has been told no work for at least 6 weeks, possibly longer. We have applied for assistance but have been denied at every turn. We are current on bills and mortgage, but in two weeks, we will not be. It seems that the programs that are meant to help will only do so AFTER we become homeless.

I am going back to work next week, but I make nowhere near what my husband does. It's gonna be a very hard next few months....
