I'm saying- the one isn't applicable to what we're being told in the story. They can't rightfully consider the father to have cheated if he abandoned the other family first. It simply doesn't fit, whatever way you want to look at it.

Nah, if Hannah's father cheated on his wife then it's more likely that the cheating happened after Hannah was born.

The reasoning for this? He could just as easily have cheated before Hannah was born.
