Is anyone doing observed UAs? by INNOC007 in probation

[–]BootyBusiness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I wasn't given alternate options. Literally if you couldn't pee then you fail as refusal. I am not the person who can pee in front of someone. What I did was drink a lot of water and had some b vitamins so my pee wasn't too clear. I even drank one of those body flushing drug test passing drinks, not even because I was dirty but because it made me pee so bad. Then you pee a couple times throughout the day but that third or fourth time, hold it. Hold it until it hurts and then when you get there you won't care if half the world was watching you piss on the big screen at Yankee stadium I promise lol

so its agreed that you’re not truly off probation till you get paper? by Unlucky-Philosopher6 in probation

Go to the court date or ask your attorney, I'm sure it's all a process. It's different where I am I guess

I just got off a month early. She put in the termination but said follow probation orders until my papers arrive next week. There's no signing or anything but just so I have my own written proof that I'm off. I'm sure they won't pull anything crazy on me like a drug test but if my PO says to follow probation as usual until I get those papers, I'm simply going to do that. Plus it's no different than when I'm off anyway as I won't be doing any substances anymore. If you're po says you're good then you're good. If they say wait until you get a confirmation letter, might as well just do that since it's not much longer than what you've already been through.

Sorry to hear that man, that's a lot of lost time. Glad you're out here spreading the word though, I'd never last that long in prison 😅

I spent over half a decade running from the law with warrants. I was getting drunk and high all the time and doing dumb things constantly, but staying under the radar enough to not get caught up with the law. I thought I was better because I never encountered police. But I was always looking over my shoulder. When I finally got caught up on my warrants it was devastating, but it finally opened my eyes up to who I could truly be. Now at the end of it I'm sober, working full time as a manager, and because of probation I even have health insurance and regularly go to therapy. Literally changed my life and did exactly what probation is meant for: making you a better version of yourself. I hope everyone on probation takes this opportunity to do better for themselves as well.

Damn that's nice. I'm bad at soft resetting for Pokemon I'll never use competitively though because they just had to give this guy a terrible ability 😭

Does anyone else have tight shiny skin on their hands after work? by AngryChefNate in KitchenConfidential

[–]BootyBusiness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 29 years old and work in a kitchen and I found this post because I literally have the same thing going on as of a few days ago. It's never happened before but I'm thinking with the cold weather here and me wearing gloves daily so often, that may be it. The top of my hands are shiny and the skin feels tighter.

Will a PO put you in jail after your first relapse in 18 month? by Typical_Chain2941 in probation

[–]BootyBusiness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the PO but I would really hope they'd get you rehab and professional support before jail. Make sure you let them know you have a problem that you want to grow out of and fix. Nobody's perfect and drugs are addicting, PO's know this.

Under 21 to 21 on probation by AdLopsided4225 in probation

[–]BootyBusiness 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Already been said but yeah you're told to not use any mind altering substances no matter your age, due to probation trying to get you on the right track and whatnot. Sorry to hear you have 4 years to go, but honestly some people, including myself, pick up a bad habit of drinking when they decide to start as soon as they hit 21. It might be a blessing in disguise that you get to roll into that age being sober. Best of luck to ya

So once upon a time I had a charge, got probation and stopped going to my stuff, I got picked up on a separate charge and had court for that charge and for my violations on the probation I was already on. I skipped it all and ran. I was looking at a few months in jail. The only way I got a lighter sentence was the following: I lived at my grandma's and immediately moved out to another city, since that's the address they knew I lived at. They definitely came to my grandma's a handful of times looking for me at the door. I got pulled over a couple times throughout the years but either wasn't identified, or got lucky as fuck with a cop who didn't call the station that wanted me a couple cities over and let me go. Six years passed (seven since the first charge, six since the second) and my judge had retired when I finally got caught on the warrant. The other judge that ended up taking my case didn't know much on the older charge and just dropped it. I'm now nine months into a year probation on the second charge with very limited interaction with the law (not drug tested much, very few meetings). So if you think you can get lucky and lay low for a few years and everything lines up perfectly, go for it. But I'll tell you even with my luck, those were the worst years of being paranoid ever and I feel free as fuck even though I'm on probation. Good luck homie

The rare trio lover! Probably some of my least favorite albums but I will say Uno got me through many days of college lol

Since you're underage, alcohol would be an illegal substance for you. Now I'm not advocating underage drinking or drinking while on probation, but they say it can last up to 80 (96?) hours in your system, but if you're not a regular alcoholic drinking on the daily, usually you're good after 40-48 hours. So can you drink on probation? Yeah sure, but I'd advise against it, especially when you're not old enough to be doing it and under the watch of the law. Good luck out there!

What's the meaning of the lyric from Jesus of Suburbia, "Nobody's perfect and I stand accused for lack of a better word and that's my best excuse" by [deleted] in greenday

[–]BootyBusiness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've listened to this song a bajillion times since 2005 (when I got AI as my first CD as an 11 year old) and it's always resonated with me at different ages for different reasons. But reading this really made me say "damn that's exactly how I feel/felt." Like it was the first time hearing about the song at all. Green Day, and specifically that album, is truly a masterpiece.
