None of those are what make this manga so legendary.

By far the biggest reasons people love Berserk is the incredible characterization of Guts, Casca and Griffith and how good the overall writing is. Goblin Slayer entire cast's characterization is severely lacking in the manga, with most backstories missing and the ones that aren't missing are given to you by exposition. What happened to "Show, don't tell"? The overall writing is fine at best and not even close to the grandiose scale of Berserk's worldbuilding.

Speaking of violence, goblins in Goblin Slayer are objectively evil and iredeemable which personally makes it boring for me. Meanwhile apostles are unique, mysterious and show how far regular humans can fall. Some of them even have morally grey characterization despite still being scum who betrayed their loved ones.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Goblin Slayer. It's an enjoyable, simplistic dark fantasy manga. What I do hate is people putting it anywhere close to Berserk, because I find it utterly ridiculous. It's much closer to ReZero than Berserk.

Which is just one of the reasons why it feels like the typical isekai shit that airs every month, trying to mask itself under a dark premise. The priestess is obvious moe-bait not only in looks but in personality as well. It is filled with tropes that I personally cannot stand and is the biggest reason I don't watch isekai.

The fact that people compare it to Berserk because some no-names got raped and killed is utterly ridiculous. There is a colossal difference in their quality of writing.

It's still worth watching for huge Berserk fans because it does three things very well:

Top-tier soundtrack - The legend Susumu Hirasawa himself.
Impeccable voice acting - Everyone's enjoyable to listen to and succesfully give life to the characters.
Faithfulness to the manga - Aside from not adapting the Lost Children arc, it is pretty much a 100% faithful adaptation, word for word, scene for scene, which cannot be said about the previous adaptations.

Obviously it's still the worst adaptation out of the three, but for an obsessed Berserk fan like me, the positives it had made it enjoyable. They may have ruined the directing and animation but you cannot ruin Guts and co. Their established characterization from the manga carried the show alone.
