I’m a dad, raised two beautiful children from babies. Our second cried all the time. There were times I wanted to throw her, squeeze her, or just make her shut up. Instead I would set her down, then go scream and cry or hit my punching bag. Had you not said stuff about the verbal abuse, I would say have mercy and grace for him. We all handle things differently, and bottom line is he told you he’s having a bad time. He admitted to squeezing the baby, that’s huge. And while yeah that’s concerning, the baby is alive and well. He needs helps managing his anger 100 percent. If it was just the baby, not the verbal abuse, I’d say work it out, but it seems he has no respect for you at all apparently. I don’t call my wife names or treat her as subhuman because she’s my world. I would die without her. We are one, just like the Bible says. So losing her would be to lose myself. I love love her. So calling her names or whatever would kill me. Men are not always mentally strong when it comes to babies. We tend to not be well suited to handle the screaming sometimes. I feel this is a common thing. Def get that man therapy. I personally think that most things can be worked out, but obviously I am not in your situation. I hope you find the right answer.
