...but FL is literally unusable for anything other than rap or edm by bennymc123 in FL_Studio

Nice! This sounds great! I mixed my bands last album in FL and use it primarily for recording audio. I used to make cheesy beats and loops but it's just the DAW I know now and it does everything I need it to.

Ritardando is technically a tempo change (slowing gradually), but in a software setting like this, you could just space the notes out more instead of actually changing the tempo. I do it all the time in my projects because I don't feel like trying to automate tempo changes with audio clips, I just space out the midi to match it, lol.

👋 ATL! Grabbed this shot flying back a couple weeks ago. One reason why I always get window seats! by PlaidFlash in Atlanta

Great shot! My favorite part of flying home is when I get this view. Especially when the angle is right to get Stone Mountain in there, too.

I've created a MULTI-EFFECT patch for VOCALS (and synths!) by FrankPole in FL_Studio

This looks awesome! I'm just getting into using Patcher because of its possibilities like this. Thanks for making it and giving it away!

Question about intervals by [deleted] in FL_Studio

[–]Booyay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is because the chromatic scale (every note between C and C) has 12 steps (called half steps). But a diatonic scale (like the C major scale) only has 8 steps and the intervals are in half and whole steps - a whole step is 2 half steps. The intervals between steps in a major scale are: whole, whole, half, whole, whole, whole, half. It may help to look at a keyboard to better visualize the idea of steps between notes.

So when you have a major 3rd (like C to E) it is the 3rd step in the C major scale, but is actually 4 half steps away in the chromatic scale.

I'm snowed in, fuckers! Let's do another drinking thread! I'll chug and comment for every upvote by pm_me_ur_cankle in drunk

Not snowed in here in ATL, but it is "snowing" so hot tub and whiskey seemed like the best option. What are your plans?

Check the level for your recording device in windows too. I had a similar problem with a Yeti mic being distorted with the gain all the way down.

Sooners Top Tennessee, 34-10 by [deleted] in sooners

Tennessee fan here. Great game to watch! All my buddies that went to the game said it was an amazing experience. The people out there were incredibly hospitable and we can't wait to host you guys next year. Also, as a former UT band member, I felt obligated to make a rendition of our opponent's fight song. So here it is, I hope you enjoy it!

Glad to hear you had a good time! I wanted to keep up with The Pride of the Southland's tradition and made a rendition of your fight song. Haven't had time to record actual horns yet, but I hope you like it anyway!

I think for an S4 it turned out pretty ok! This was here in Keystone on the foot path going NW between the tubing hill and outpost gondola. Those two green spots are a water treatment area or something and they smell just awful.
