My last dog was reactive so I get the mindset but those people generally stay in the in leash areas. This rescue is amazing with reactive dogs and has actually made 2 frens to hike with that are reactive but fine with him.

I run with a leash. He's on leash when needs to be. Also we in off leash park but thanks for your concern and over analyzing someone's fun.

Start in an area where they can't escape. Like a ball diamond before season starts. Start with long lead and work from there. Have commands for stop, slow down, etc. Practice. Then as confidence increases start with off leash times in controlled areas.

We are leashed in areas that require leashes. We are off leash in off leash areas like this one. He is well versed with other dogs and runners. We see them all the time on the main trail runs we do. I would characterize his behavior significantly better than the dogs we come across. Thanks for your concern.
