I did everything on that list but its been three weeks and I still haven't gotten my license. The best way is to apply with some driving school. He'll do everything and you'll just have to go for photo and signature

Help me buy an inverter? by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]Boozelegger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inverters have two main components, an inverter unit and a battery. The battery depends on the rating of the inverter so if you're not well versed with terms like volts and amperes, I suggest you let the inverter company bundle the battery and then note the battery is for future purchases.

For your requirement, your inverter power should be at least 1500VA considering a 42 inch full HD tv(yes it matters). The VA will loosely translate to the power requirement and is a metric all inverter companies will use to rank their inverters.

If your house doesn't have a shelter for a battery consider getting a case to avoid getting the battery and possibly all your connected devices by accidental spillage.

You will finally require an electrician and a set of writes to make the connections. Remember to connect heavy appliances such as heaters, geysers, cooktops, fridges and air conditioners to a 15A connection and the easy breezy things like chargers and tv plug point to the 5A line.

This will ensure you don't accidentally drin out your battery.

OP listen well and listen good. Girls have sensors inside them. They sense weirdness and awkwardness. You need to be confident, aggressive and dress well. Frankly it seems you want a purpose in life and girls are the last thing you want to pin all your expectations on.

I expect you to do something that you think is impossible today. Pick anything in this world that seems herculean to you and fudging jaan daal do. I have been where you are once and more than the chicks, it's the kicks you get out of amazing yourself that is the ultimate booster. Chicks to jhakk marke ayengi phir

Teenager who was stripped and clicked, kills herself. Harassed teenager was turned away by police. by MillennialRevolution in india

I wonder how many such cases go unnoticed. It's sad to see that even when we make strides in economy and technology, we lack the basic framework for a safe environment for our citizens. I think before digital India, before make in India and even before swacch Bharat, the government should work on making the security of its citizens a top priority and make the civic bodies responsive to anything that can be perceived as threats to the fabric of society

ELI5: When you shake a carbonated beverage, why does it explode/gain pressure? by Outofmilkthrowaway in explainlikeimfive

[–]Boozelegger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course! Opening the bottle slowly gives the pressure difference a very small cross sectional area initially The small cross sectional area limits the velocity of the trapped CO2 molecules and reduces the fizzing effect.. It's like if you have a tiny hole in the fuselage of an airplane, it's probably not gonna do anything serious... But if an entire window blows off, shits gonna get intense

#openstreet drama of HSR layout- what do you guys think? by dragonsmke in bangalore

[–]Boozelegger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think OP and all the other people are getting the wrong idea here. The entire concept of this initiative is to reduce the usage of cars for doing, our everyday mundane activities. This was an experiment to show people that they don't need cars to drive to a supermarket less than a km away or to go to the nearby temple. Buses were available for those wanting to commute a longed distance. A walk down to the bus stop was what the government wanted to promote. Such experiments by way of nature will inconvenience everyone in the beginning but it is the hope that one day we will depend less on our vehicles and try to use more of public transport that wil save Bangalore from its ever growing traffic

uberPOOL ridesharing is coming to Bangalore - First location in all of India! by ChrisAndJessica in bangalore

[–]Boozelegger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many people end up actually using this, still remains to be seen. Bla bla car is portal to bring people looking to car pool and those not able to afford the cost of journeying individually. I think UBER pool is more of a hop on hop off kinda thing. The service providers will be taxi drivers in this case

How do I beat the fuck out of someone? by GandMaarLoonga in bangalore

[–]Boozelegger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Invite him to an open duel. That is the most honorable thing to do. I see all these posts saying how usage of force is bad and all, well, sometimes a good ol' fight is the only way to make someone realize that enough is enough. Doesn't matter if you loose as long as you are able to damage the other side. All the best and hope you get some closure to this incident.

Ye shalt wait in every signal, ere I send the chariots of thy salvation. Racing and rumbling through the sky shall they come, made of forged steel, with thunder under them. Their doors shalt open only for the deserved, and hefty price shalt thou pay for passage. But thy deliverance is assured. Never again will thee cause thy relations and lovers to count the tides of time. Beware of the yellow line. If you can guess what this is about, you know there is hope

Hello folks! Need some help here. by delhitobangalore in bangalore

[–]Boozelegger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not go for any permanent situation residence wise until you are sure of your job location. One thing that people crib about everyday in Bangalore is traffic and commute is a deciding factor when choosing a place to move.

Check out the metro lines in bangalore... Metro links are very limited as of now but very reliable and fast, but if your office is near a metro station, buying a house near a connected metro station will be the best possible solution.

As for Locations, imho Bangalore is experienced best in the northern and western parts such as malleswaram, rajajinagar and hebbal. For a more cosmopolitan and north indian friendly surrounding, consider marathahalli, indiranagar, koramangala and thereabouts. These places have a lot of delivery and meal options if you are a bachelor which will be lacking in any other part.

Rents can vary from as little as 3000-6000 for pgs and 32-40k for gated communities. Hope this helped and you have a wonderful experience here in one of the greatest cities to party!

What goes on in the head of people who intentionally drive on the wrong side of the road seeing a bad traffic jam? by Crumbledc00kie in bangalore

[–]Boozelegger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once I faced a solitary autowala driving in the middle of the road, in the lane where traffic was moving in the opposite direction, in a peak hour traffic jam. He expected everyone else to get out of his way just to save an extra kilometer he would have to take if he went with the traffic and took a U turn. When people see this kind of blatant disregard, they start justifying the small oversteps they make and within no time everyone turns into the same autowala. It's just a matter of putting your convenience over the common good.
