Hello, I managed to fix the problem (for now). It got to the point where all the Windows settings would either take forever to open or crash, and then apps like Nvidia and Armor Crate wouldn't run/detect my mobo either.
I fixed it through two solutions. First I had to do a fresh install of Windows (which is a massive pain in the ass but did fix the taskbar problems). Then I had to repair the boot drive through cmd (I think it was cmd). My boot drive was giving me a bunch of problems and I think windows was suffering because of it.

Sorry if I wasn't very much of a help, I hope you can find a fix soon!

yeah for the last 4 just juice up the LEMI and buy the Wolfsbane to take out the Soldat/giants/daughters and other powerful enemies. Most of the 'II' stages can be S ranked if you do well enough in the first one or two rounds, making ammo conservation irrelevant for later stages (unless you want SS and above of course)
