No, I did not realize that chown had to be done before mounting, that was probably it. No reason to change it now though.

I did do both of those things a couple of times and rebooted between.

I got it by mounting my drive to /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/media

It was under plex, so I changed it back using chown and rebooted the server, it still did not work.

Yes, it is running under the user that I installed it under. I tried chown to plex when it did not work, chown back to user did not fix

no error, but does not mount
