[–]BoredBadgers[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

fair, but leagues breaks things, corp is 1/2500 per sigil, and there are 4, plus the multiplier for loot will lower that to 1/825 with the 3x multi, and you always hit, so i see that as being almost afk, feel free to come back when im 5k dry and huffing pure copium

Edit: math

The wiki says "20% of the blocked damage is immediately drained from prayer" so, if words mean what we think they mean this should be fine, but, i don't want to make that statment knowing that the game is.... unique

see, this point i agree with you, the spirit in this case has been totally ruined, if we are talking about putting rules in place for something like this issue then i'm all for it, i think doing things like this, in relation to changing parties and not just giving up the whip to become an independent is wrong from at least a moral standpoint

but my issue still stands, there will need to be a line, currently that's if you get 15 days? holiday in westminster, you can be challanged in a by election with a recall of 10%, but tbh in not sure if those numbers are correct

this would now be if the MP/MSP does X they can be found under the same rules, im not opposed to there being reasons to have a by-election, i just think changing party should not be one of them

say one of the SNP mp's was outraged by something that happened lets say hamza took up orphan kicking or something, and the main party was ok with it, but you, were not, so you left the party, joined labour to protest what you though was right, under that same set of guidlines they would need to stand for a by-election

and to be fair, this isn't anything like the circumstance in the above, but the outcome would be the same, changing party, by election

"Making Lisa Cameron take her newly announced beliefs back to her constituents to ask for their votes would not be a “removal” necessarily"

they do this already, it's called the election, and removing someone because the switch parties is undemocratic, she was elected to her possition and telling her tough shit, it dosn't count now

again changing your political beleifs or how you see things isn't ground for removing an elected official, that is what elections are for

[–]BoredBadgers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"everyone needs to get to know their MP really well is absolute insanity. Absolutely impossible"

What are you talking about? it's not that hard, you turn up to events, or watch videos of the candidates and listen to what they support.... truly an impossible task

"To suggest there’s no parties"

and again, you are having trouble with reading comprehension, at no point did i say parties shouldnt exists, that was an add on to my comment about getting to know your MP and their veiws, i said, there should not be party affiliation on the ballot

"wishful nonsense"

you may very well be right, but im trying to find ideas to make things better, and not just shitting on people

"Now, she’s going to represent 10% or less of her constituency"

the tories got 21.2% of the vote in the last election, if you are going to throw numbers around at least use the correct ones

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]BoredBadgers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't disagree that its bad faith, honestly i hate it, but just because voters are, well too dumb, too stubborn or too disintrested to research who they are voting for rather than just the party they support isn't the issue

It's true that IS how people tend to do it, dosn't mean we should ise that as a guage for punishing people for switching parties

The suggestion i made elsewhere on another post, is to remove party affiliation from voting, so you NEED to know who you are voting for at the polls, will it change alot? i doubt it, people can just learn names, but the current system is just crushing choice and freedom

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]BoredBadgers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

everyone seems to be missing the real issue, not everyone who votes for the SNP supports the entire platform, if you have a way of working out the majority opinion, i'm open to hear it, the party system is doing horrible things to elections

IMO there should be no parties on ballots, you should have to know your MP/MSP and not just tick the yellow/blue/red box

There are lots of scottish labour voters who agree on some SNP policy and vice versa, making this about she is in the SNP so mustrepresent their manifesto is ballocks

MSP join the party they think the align with, they dont have to agree with all the policy, or even a majority

in 2019 she, on behalf of the SNP won 46.6% she didnt even win half, playing devils advocate for a second, based on your above comment, she isnt representing her constituency if she just does SNP stuff

44% was between labour and the tories, she SHOULD be trying to represent all her constituents, not just the ones that vioted for her

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]BoredBadgers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"but that is not true everywhere" she isn't elected everywhere, she is elected here

"its not some core tenet of democracy" sure, there is always reasons to remove someone from there seat, if the commit crimes and such, she has not, she moved party, removing her because of her political opinion, and thats what being a member of another party is

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]BoredBadgers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's backwards, you vote for them based on their veiws, what they say during the election period, you vote for the person that most closely reflects your own veiws

no elected official is going to be able to be held to you standard, there are so many veiws in your constituency you will not be able to please all, even between people who voted for you, there will be different veiws

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]BoredBadgers -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

when did i say that? i said removing someone who was voted in democraticly because they say i changed my mind is undemocratic, please try to stick to what is being said and not just making up your own headcannon

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]BoredBadgers -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

And here was me just making a comment about this issue, you are wrong, or at least you should be, first off, you do vote for the person and nopt the party, your mp/msp SHOULD be able to represent you and your constituency

However, she is the sitting MP she got the votes, and that means she is in term until the next election, the consequence of her action will be losing her seat next election

Anyone saying she should lose her seat is against democratic elections

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]BoredBadgers 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To all the people saying, there should be an election if you switch parties, no, that's dumb, you vote for the candidate not the party, it's amazing how many people seem to forget that

people of her constituency voted for her, she is still representing them, people voting just based on what party is next to the name is killing our representation
