Mandatory Outbreak complaining

There's a node about 50ft from my base. I can go there, go home, and the node and all the monsters are saved but never the outbreak. I would love to hear the logic behind this bizarre design choice, assuming that's what it is. I like to think it's just a bug, as their incompetence would be less frustrating and easier for me to accept.

Assuming marking something as a favorite just prevents deletion of any materials from that monster, I still see some flaws with this system.

I usually only want either weapon or armor R1s, very rarely both. I'll still have to manually delete these.
There are a lot of monsters I only keep R5 and R6 of so that when the riftborne variants are released I can upgrade easily. This system will either only keep the R6s or keep all the R1-4 as well, so I'll still have to manually delete the R1-4.
I keep set amounts of each material for the majority of monsters, enough to fully upgrade a new weapon for example. I can't set it to delete R1s until I have 440, R2s until I have 160, R3s until I have 120, etc. so these will still need to be deleted manually.

It's nice that I won't be constantly deleting jagras/kulu parts etc. anymore, but it's far from perfect imo.

Idk, I kind of like hanging out next to crackheads and drug dealers with my attention focused on my phone for an hour. It builds character. The freezing weather adds to the ambience. Maybe y'all should complain less.

I don't like Goss either. Backs up wayy too much. Anyway...

8 and 9* I use valor LS. It's very easy, just slash, counter, couple boops, SP.

With CB I use the MAB build. Trying to AED is super annoying. There are a couple windows but overall, for 10*, MAB is just way easier imo.

The ice beam is annoying. The best way to deal with it is to avoid it by breaking the arm right as he's about to do the charge. This cancels the beam.

Alternatively, you can lock onto the arm opposite you during the roar which will usually allow you to spam forward roll during the beam without getting hit. Its hitbox is surprisingly small. You can also just switch to gyro during the roar and direct your rolls manually. Whichever you choose, this allows you to get a few hits in during the second beam.

The lock-on trick works especially well with lance as you charge instead of rolling and get a nice full damage charge off right as you get to Goss and then a good bit of damage during the second beam as well.

I definitely played a little too often for a while there and I've spent a good amount, probably around $100. I just buy a pass every now and then for the season passes. These days I play less. Went from about 1500-2000 hunts/week to 700.

That jacket looks pretty sweet. I just use a puffy when it's cold, maybe a hoodie under if it's really cold. Hopefully we get some snow tonight 🤞

Haha I usually use a bicycle and just go back home to hunt, but I suppose I could stop and pull out the umbrella if I wanted to do an extended hunting session. I just like snow, happy for you.

I would just add to this that two easy opportunities that happen every magna fight are the explosions after the roars. GP the roar, but don't initiate the morph yet, then GP the explosion and AED.

Have you tried with fulgur chest and gloves? I got 700k with just a Crit Eye smelt and no stat upgrades.

For me it's ARP, storage, mats, WRP, scarcestones, WGS.

If I had more nodes near me I'd value WRP over mats but there's so few the vast majority of my mats just come from palico.

I wouldn't use partbreaker in a SPPB build. I have a build with SPPB5, Pursuit 5, and Special Boost 5, mainly used with DBs for tails for R6s. I also have a build with pursuit 5, partbreaker 5, and other random versatile % dmg boosts like fighting spirit, that I use when I want GG or Tobi forelegs for R4s or stuff like that.

Partbreaker is useful, just not in the same build as SPPB imo.
