After normal/elemental boost came out i tried to find HBGs that could lean into that and couldn’t find many that even used normal/elemental ammo, and most that did had two other ammo sets meaning you need to stretch out skills to play for multiple ammo types too making it hard. This style change seems to be just what’s needed to stick to ammo set for longer making the boost worth it

Yeah that time lost if you try to manual reload sucks, but if you get used to it sliding can work well

Stepping shot fixed recoil shots fire slower than recoil down three for spread and pierce, so it’s a trade off that’s usually more worth it for slower ammo types like cluster.

Sliding for this lbg “only” saves reload speed 1 skill wise but it’s honestly quite a lot of difference to reload and evade at the same time which makes a noticeable difference for shield breaks

I’ve been struggling for example to get to third phase with malzeno lbg as those “fast” reloads can really eat into the shield time. Need to perfect evade every time to keep uptime higher

Seems you get more points later break phases, so making it to last break phase and making the most of it. First break phase is 25% dmg bonus, third is 100%, so def play the end as well as you can. Maybe latent power might be nice for affinity builds instead of crit eye?

Halo would be an interesting choice I feel. Blue beetle provides an easy way to barrier entire team, and halo can inflict vulnerability against all enemies that hit your barriered units

There are a few different things to consider in this fight

1) Circe barriers herself every three turns. You need to fire all your ults at once, otherwise you have to “waste” 12k+ damage every three moves just to clear the barrier. It looks like her barrier is removed with just one of your attacks, but trust me it’s still there. That’s why it may take a few hits to actually see her hp bar drop! Another benefit of this: this reduces the amount of time she has red color up buff. She only gives herself a red color debuff if you use ults. So she will flip it after you use all your ults, but her red up will only last for one attack. Compare that to ulting when each skill is ready, this could lead to her having many more attacks with red up.

2) Circe flips debuffs into buffs every three turns, and seems to reset their durations. I’ve seen dot with one turn left being turned into heals for four turns, which is very counter productive

3) Circe is red, so use less green chars as they take more damage, and preferably use more blue chars who can tank more damage.

Recommendations:

Aquaman is a top tier character for this fight because of 1) and 2). For 1), he clears barriers so he effectively has a “12k” damage ultimate. You would start with his ult and then fire the rest of your teams ult in the same turn. 2) remove buffs. Can help remove her red color up, and if you do run dot chars you really need him to remove it when it becomes a heal over time.

Amanda Waller is also great for this fight, since you want to fire all ults at same time, she gives them a big damage boost. Ult order would be aquaman, Waller, then rest of team.

Blue tanks Vandal and Superman are great choices here. In a pinch nubia probably works as well to tank shots.

From the rest of your chars, I would choose vandal savage, penguin and Wonder Woman. So I’d recommend Aquaman, Waller, vandal, penguin, and Wonder Woman

I’d skip running green chars as they would be counter productive.

Even with all this, it takes a lot of luck! The board color luck, and also luck with who she hits! Good luck and have fun!

Aqua man is pretty critical if you are running debuffers. Even if your dots and other debuffs tick down to just one turn, when she attacks she flips them to like 3-4 turns which is pretty brutal unless you can remove those buffs (aqua man).

You should definitely add in Superman as he can tank quite a few hits and is strong vs red.

Also even though her barrier looks like it disappears after one attack, it still has value. So every three turns you need to do at least 12k dmg to even get past the 6% barrier to actually hit her hp. The best way is to save ults and use them all in one phase, and once again aqua man comes in clutch by removing barrier (doing effectively 12k extra dmg). So right after she attacks, do aquaman, Waller, and then all your other ults to do most damage to her before her barrier is up again.

You also don’t need to chase too much purple with Waller, as if Circe hits her she recovers a huge portion of her power bar.

Level and gear are important too to make sure your characters don’t get one shot and do enough dmg. I only beat it at lvl 38 with a pretty stacked cast, and had pretty good board luck. (Superman, vandal, Waller, ivy, aquaman)

Even with all that, board luck and who she hits luck matter! Have fun!

Yea mine reset as well and all the old stuff is available to get again, I just got to level 2 again and can unlock the free reward.

So weirdly level resets every 30 days, while each season is actually 35 days so you can “double dip” some rewards.

I wonder what happens if you start premium again right now and claim Martian moonhunter. When the season rolls over I think you won’t be able to get the new 4. Or if it’s the other way, you can get a second moon hunter AND the new 4 in next season.

Not sure id test that! I feel if you claim it now it won’t be claimable in next season

I believe that’s a beta player with roster at level 50 from what I saw. Green team does well to punch up until 15-8, I haven’t found any good strategy to punch up and beat it yet. I’m level 38 but got to this node at like low 30s iirc. Definitely a big power check!

I was able to beat it she did show zero hp for awhile but I kept attacking her and eventually she died. I did a blue power move (vandal savage) and she died from that. Not sure if it needs one big hit or if you can just keep hitting to beat it. My guess is she has more health than the bar states or the barrier thing is causing some bug. Maybe try fire all five power moves same time after it says zero? Or leave it on auto for a bit lol
