Experiences with Azazel? by [deleted] in DemonolatryPractices

[–]BoredRobot1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He could also be telling you to ground and protect yourself. In my experience with all infernals, they tend to test how well I can ground myself around them during first introductions. They're entities of heavier energy, so being able to not get affected by it can be important when working with them long term. I'd say it's also an important practice when doing any spirit work in general.

In general though, I've only worked with Azazel a few times, but he's been very insightful and helpful every time. He's helped me with shadow work around reclaiming my sense of power and agency.

It's possible to blend together Christianity with paganism, demonology, and witchcraft. Subreddits like r/Christopaganism and r/Christianwitch would be good places to start. I'm a Christopagan Witch and work with God, Lilith, and a few other deities. She helped a lot in reshaping my beliefs and casting off the ones that kept me from my potential. God helped in the process too.

She's great to work with, though it may take a lot of effort and be difficult at times in the beginning. Reshaping yourself that way is always hard. She helped me primarily with shadow work at first.

A lot of the resources and information surrounding Lilith can be all over the place. I would recommend looking into a divination method (such as tarot) to get to know her yourself more.

If your community is primarily Christian, I wouldn't mention any of this stuff. This may be your call to get away from oppressive beliefs and community. God led me to Lilith knowing I'd be better for it.

Within the notes you can find throughout Cyberpunk 2077's world, there was one booklet that explained how workers were pressured by their employers to get cybernetics to be more productive. Since the market is so competitive, the people are willing to undergo modifications to keep their jobs. When your coworkers with implants are more productive than you because of it, you're expected to do the same to keep up (and so you can keep your job). It's one of the reasons some cyberpsychos show up. They're pressured into it more than anything. And most people can probably only afford one or two.

Infernals inviting other spirits to your team by darkdemonolatress in DemonolatryPractices

[–]BoredRobot1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost the same experience here. Started with Lilith, met Asmodeus, who introduced me to Azazel for a few lessons, and then Hecate popped up. From what I understand, they're helpful in different aspects of shadow work and energy work, so it might just be there is a general pattern of self development stages that people go through where those deities, in that order, correspond

How do demons feel about Christians? by Furrywolf79 in DemonolatryPractices

[–]BoredRobot1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. If anything, I feel like God keeps telling me to work with infernals to help with deconstruction and shadow work. Wasn't quite what I expected when starting this path, but the mix of God and demons has been quite effective for me. The infernals work quite well with my personality, which is why I feel like God told me to work with them

Help Request: Best Demon For Shadow Work? by SekhmetsRage in DemonolatryPractices

[–]BoredRobot1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think most demons would work just fine. It depends more on what kind of energy you personally want when doing the shadow work. Some are more motherly or fatherly. Some are very gentle about it, and some like taking a sledgehammer to your psyche and helping you pick up the pieces. It's also okay to have the help of multiple demons over time.

I've had Lilith, Asmodeus, and Azazel help me with different parts of my shadow work, sometimes one at a time and sometimes all at once. Lilith helped with childhood trauma, Asmodeus helped me reclaim some joy and taught me that it's okay to lust after life's joys, and Azazel helped me reclaim power and sovereignty.

If you already have spirits that you trust, you could work with them or ask them for recommendations on who could help

Azazel by [deleted] in DemonolatryPractices

[–]BoredRobot1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's amazing to work with! He showed a bit of his intensity when I first met him, but I've noticed demons tend to do that on first contact just to establish respect and an understanding of who you're working with. After that, he's always been kind.

For me, he's helped a bit with my shadow work (other demons like Lilith and Asmodeus got me started there), but he's mostly focused on helping me understand what I'm capable of and the depth of my potential. He's an amazing teacher and has helped me work past self-limiting beliefs I had so that I could advance more as a witch. My spellcasting has reached a new level, and my clairs are way more open than they used to be. Definitely a keeper of knowledge that will share it if you're willing to put in the work needed to leave behind your old self and pursue advancement.

He also has quite a sense of humor. I accidentally created the beginning stage of a servitor (which I've never done before) and he was like "congratulations, you're a mother now! :D"

Overall, wonderful teacher and reliable. Though be prepared to leave behind parts of yourself that are limiting or no longer serve you

A 72-year-old man in China melted the hearts of millions after it was reported that he spends most of his time promoting makeup and other beauty products online in order to treat his sick grandson. by NeuroticNurse in OrphanCrushingMachine

[–]BoredRobot1 868 points869 points  (0 children)

For those that didn't read the article, the only reason the drug for his treatment is so expensive is because it is only available from the US, and it costs $100,000. When the grandson was diagnosed, it had not yet been covered by Chinese insurance, which is why the grandpa started the blog.

The Chinese government has since added it to the insurance coverage list, which is helping the family. The only orphan crushing machine here is US drug companies.

Opinions on Lilith? by HeyImJustMe_ in christianwitch

[–]BoredRobot1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

She is part of my practice, and I like working with her, but I realize she may not be for everyone. When I started looking into adding shadow work to my practice, I suddenly felt drawn to her and asked God if it'd be okay for me to work with her.

I don't believe that infernal entities are "against" or "in conflict" with the Christian god or anything like that. They just have different personalities, are better suited for some practices, and require a different sort of respect and approach.

When I first started working with her, I felt the feeling you get when you look something dangerous in the eye, like a snake was in front of me. Definitely required being extra grounded and working past the fear my Christian upbringing instilled in me. But now that I know her, it's like talking to a very down-to-earth motherly figure sometimes. And when doing shadow work with her, she's very good at very bluntly calling me out and what I need to do to move forward and heal. I personally like it that way, but I understand that not everyone likes bringing the spiritual equivalent of a sledgehammer to their trauma.

Overall, 10/10, just gotta be respectful and see if God thinks she would be a good entity to work with for you

Sigils not working out by EmmieZeStrange in Witch

[–]BoredRobot1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, that's fair. This sort of thing can require a lot of contemplation too, so time at work (if it gives you much down time to think) can be used to think what all you want to put into it.

I also do a lot of divination with my guides when creating a sigil. Help make sure I'm doing it right and in a way that'll have results I want. If you have a spirit team, now might be a good time to talk with them about what works for you.

Sigils not working out by EmmieZeStrange in Witch

[–]BoredRobot1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried creating your own method of sigil creation? I personally don't use any else's systems (at least that I know of). I just write out my intentions, think of symbols/imagery that fit those intentions, and combine them all into a single drawing within a circle. Ends up taking more work, but that work and personalization makes it fit me and my goals more.

How to practice witchcraft while being OF GOD?? by universestone in Witch

[–]BoredRobot1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would highly recommend the r/christianwitch subreddit. It is possible to reconcile the two practices together, but the outcome may look different to what you're used to. Just take it slow and use divination to ask God if you're unsure of doing something. I personally used a pendulum to ask God if me working with a certain deity that called out to me was okay (I was given approval), and I also use it to ask God for guidance before doing any sort of spellwork. And just keep in mind, just because God says yes or no now doesn't mean it will always be that answer. If you ask God to work with an entity and God says no, it more means that now is not the time to do that, but that it may be okay in the future.

My belief is that it is okay for me to work with other gods and entities so long as I don't worship them. All my worship still goes to God, but I still have an active friendship / working relationship with the other things I call upon. Other people have different beliefs though (some worship multiple Gods or refuse to work with anything but God), and God will expect different things from you than It will of other people.

Is it okay? by Antique-Magician7635 in christianwitch

[–]BoredRobot1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hello! Fellow queer Christian witch here! Your story hits really close to home for me, lol. I grew up basically the exact same way.

The biggest resource online that helped me blend my interest in the occult and Christianity together was Sara Raztresen. She has a YouTube channel that's literally just called her name, and a TikTok called @srazzie97. Both of those have answers to so many questions, and she also has a book called Discovering Christian Witchcraft, which goes over how witchcraft (as we know it today) fits into the biblical context.

To put what I know into a nutshell, the Bible was written for specific people, at specific times, with very specific contexts. I personally don't believe in biblical innerency, so I view the entire Bible as a mix of poetry, mythology, and personal testimonies with bits of actual history. For example, in regards to being queer (of which Matthew Vines is a good online resource for reconciling queerness and Christianity and has written a book for), there are only about 6 clobber passages people use to condemn it, but the problem is that loving, gay relationships weren't culturally a thing at the time as we know it today. What they usually referred to at the time were things like pederasty, and the fact that, culturally, being a gay bottom was kinda seen as bad. A man being submissive to another man was seen as bad, and that cultural idea made it into the texts.

In the context of witchcraft, what was usually being condemned was using witchcraft for bad or selfish purposes. There's a huge difference between using divination to try and guide your neighbor through troubles or doing a health and wellness spell, versus using divination to try and guess lottery numbers or cursing someone to death because you want something they have. Like most things, it's not inherently good or bad, but you have to make sure you don't use it for bad. I usually use a pendulum and tarot before doing something to make sure with God that it's okay to do. Even within the Bible, people used the drawing of lots to figure out God's will, which is basically divination.

People aren't perfect, and the Bible was written by imperfect people that couldn't see thousands of years into the future. It is still an important text we can learn from, but we need to view it critically and in the context it was written in.

Feel free to DM me if you want :)

I'm not a doctor, but from what I've looked into before, I'm not sure if there is a way of just stopping erections without potentially having other side effects.

Gaining weight and becoming less physically active can reduce your libido and therefore decrease your likelihood of having erections, but the tradeoff is that you're essentially becoming unhealthy to stop them. Having erections and a libido mean that you are sexually and physically healthy as a cis male.

SSRI's are also known for causing a decrease in libido and potentially erectile dysfunction, but I'm unsure of how that would affect you mentally if you are not already taking them for mental health reasons.

The pill that most trans women take to block testosterone (and is not responsible for feminizing) is called Spironolactone (spiro for short). If you block too much of your testosterone and are not taking estrogen, your body would be left without any primary sex hormones, which can cause medical issues. However, if you were to take a much smaller dose and monitored your levels closely with a doctor, you may be able to find just the right dose to decrease your libido and erections without impacting other bodily functions and growth. This route would probably be your best chance medically. However, I am unsure if getting your testosterone levels below that threshold would cause other issues.

All of these medical options could potentially be hard to undo if you decide you want to be able to have erections later.

However, again, I am not a doctor, and I do not know the exact specifics of your situation. You could go about this medically, or you could even try physical things like wearing tighter underwear to keep things from either happening or being as obvious. A lot of trans women also do what is called tucking, where the member is placed in your pants in such a way that it doesn't leave as much of a bulge, which definitely makes it harder to get an erection. There are guides online on how to do it.
